Designing a billboard
A billboard is wide enough for a real composition but too short for a stacked layout. Lay it out in thirds:
- Left third: the headline and one short line of proof.
- Center: the product, large, with space around it.
- Right third: the price or offer, and the button.
- Use the width for contrast. One bold background color reads faster than a busy photo.
- Check it on a 13-inch laptop. At 970 px it fills most of the content width, so it should look premium, not stretched.
What StoreToAds makes instead
Fixed billboards and HTML5 banners are not offered yet. The nearest file in our set is the 1.91:1 landscape at 1200 x 628, but it is not a wide billboard layout: it places the full ad design in the center of the canvas, with the ad's background carried out to the edges. Along with the 1080 x 1080 square and 1080 x 1920 vertical, it is an image for Google's responsive display ads, which adjust their size and layout to the ad spaces available.
Billboards are often sold directly by publishers as exact uploads. For those buys, a designer or a banner tool is the honest recommendation today.
