What Bannerbear is great at
Bannerbear describes itself as a way to "auto-generate template-based social media videos, ecommerce banners and more with our API". You design templates in its editor or start from its library, then generate images, videos, animations and PDFs by API call or through integrations.
- Automation at scale. A REST API with libraries for major languages, OpenAPI specs and an MCP server for AI agents.
- No-code routes. 50+ direct integrations such as Airtable, Notion and WordPress, plus Zapier.
- Exact control. Your layout, your fonts, every layer, rendered the same way every time.
- A clear unit price. One standard image render costs one credit.
For social cards per blog post, certificates, real estate listing graphics or a banner per product generated from a feed, Bannerbear is built for the job and StoreToAds is not.
Bannerbear's plans and rules
| Plan | Price | Credits a month |
|---|---|---|
| Automate | $49/month | 1,000 API credits, 200 AI credits |
| Scale | $149/month | 10,000 API credits (tiers up to 40,000), 600 AI credits |
| Enterprise | $299/month | 50,000 API credits (tiers up to 2,000,000), 1,250 AI credits |
- Free trial: 30 API credits with no card, limited to one workspace and three templates of each kind.
- Quota: it resets on the 1st of every month, and unused credits don't carry over when you downgrade.
- Cancelling: avatar menu at the bottom left, then Billing, then Cancel Subscription. Cancel at the end of the period and your data stays until then, after which Bannerbear deletes it and stops API access; cancel now and it goes right away.
- Refunds: its terms say fees already paid for the current period are not refunded.
What reviewers say
Very little, in public. On October 17, 2026, Bannerbear's G2 page showed no reviews and we found no Trustpilot profile for bannerbear.com, so there are no complaint counts to report here. Google's results for "bannerbear alternative" are mostly other template APIs pitching a lower price per render, which tells you what its users compare it on: cost per image, not design.

Where StoreToAds is different
A template API works like a printing press: fast, cheap per copy, and exactly as good as the plate. That is ideal when every image should look the same. Ads behave differently. The same layout shown to the same people for weeks stops working, and the part that decides results is what each ad says.
StoreToAds does that part. It reads the product page, picks a reason to buy for each ad (a review, a number, an offer, a comparison), designs a layout for it around your real photo, and checks every price and quote against the store. Nobody writes code or maintains a template.

Honest note: StoreToAds has no developer API and can't fill your own templates. If you need one render per row of a spreadsheet, keep Bannerbear.
Who should not switch
- Developers generating images from data: social cards, certificates, listing graphics, receipts.
- Teams that need one fixed brand template rendered thousands of times.
- Anyone who needs PDFs or video renders by API.
- Products that aren't physical goods sold from a store page.
If you used Bannerbear for product ads
- Download the renders you still use. Once a cancellation takes effect, Bannerbear deletes your data.
- Cancel in Billing. Avatar menu, Billing, Cancel Subscription; pick end of period if you still need the API until then.
- Point StoreToAds at the same products. Paste a product link for 3 free ads and compare them with your template renders.
- Keep both if it fits. A template API can keep doing catalog banners while designed ads cover the campaigns you test on Meta. For price badges on catalog photos, StoreToAds has free catalog price badges for up to 100 products.
