What a flash sale ad has to say in one second
People see a sale ad for about as long as it takes to scroll past it. Three things have to land in that moment: the product, the saving and the deadline. If any one of them needs a second look, the ad has already lost.
- Put the number first. "25% off" or "$10 off" in the biggest type on the canvas, readable at thumbnail size.
- Write the end in plain time: "Ends Friday, 11:59 pm ET" beats "ending soon", which nobody believes.
- Show the old and the new price side by side when you have both. A struck-through price does more work than any adjective.
- Keep the product big. A sale ad with a tiny product sells the discount, not the thing you want people to buy.
- One call to action. "Shop the sale" is enough.
Short windows need ads ready before the sale starts
A 24 to 72 hour sale leaves no time to design, review and upload ads after it begins. Build three or four versions the day before: one led by the price, one led by the product, one that pairs the sale price with a customer review, and a 9:16 story version where a bold deadline line fits best.
Then switch them off on time. An ad that says "ends Sunday" still running on Tuesday teaches your audience that your deadlines are not real, and it makes the next sale weaker.
Honest note: StoreToAds never adds a deadline, a countdown or "only 3 left" on its own. The end time in the ad is the one you gave us, word for word.
