Mother's Day offers that suit candles
| Offer | Why it fits | What the ad shows |
|---|---|---|
| Wrapped and shipped straight to her (Pip & Oak's choice) | Many Mother's Day candles are sent, not handed over | The wrapped jar and the card, and that it goes to her address |
| A gift set | Three scents let her choose her favorite (Pip & Oak lists a trio at $84) | Every candle in the set and the set price |
| A price-point gift | "Under $35" is how many people shop for a grandmother or a mother-in-law | The price in the headline: $32 |
| A refill or reuse angle | A jar she keeps after the candle is gone feels less like clutter | The empty jar in use (Pip & Oak's reviews mention plants) |
Pip & Oak's Mother's Day offer costs it wrapping and a card, not a discount, so its $32 stays the price in every ad. The value line is about 50 hours of burn.
Her quiet hour, photographed safely
Mother's Day candle photos tend toward the same scene: a bath, a book, a lit candle on the edge of the tub. It works as a mood and needs care as a picture, because the NFPA's advice is to keep candles at least 12 inches from anything that can burn and to blow them out before leaving the room.
- Show the jar unlit as the product shot. The label and the lid show what arrives; the flame is a second image, not the only one.
- If it's lit, give it space. On a tray or table with nothing soft nearby: no towels, curtains or loose paper beside it.
- Show her there. An empty room with a burning candle reads as a candle left alone.
- Let objects tell the hour. A cup of tea, a book, a folded blanket a safe distance away.
What the ad must say when it ships to her
A candle sent straight to someone else raises questions a self-purchase doesn't. Answer them on the ad or in the first line of the caption:
- Where it goes. "Shipped straight to her" tells the buyer they can use her address at checkout.
- What's in the parcel. The wrapped candle and a handwritten card with their words. If there's no price inside, say so.
- When it arrives. Pip & Oak's ads say order by Thursday, April 29 for delivery by Saturday, May 8: two days to wrap and pack, then ground shipping at its slow end.
- That glass travels safely. If you pack jars in protective inserts, one short line says so. If you don't, leave it out.
The Mother's Day calendar for candle brands
| Date (2027) | What happens | What it means for your ads |
|---|---|---|
| Mon, Apr 12 | Gift ads start | Lead with the wrap, the card and shipping to her. |
| Mon, Apr 19 | Wrapping capacity check | Free wrap is only an offer if you can wrap every order in the busiest week. Count hours, not just jars. |
| Thu, Apr 29 | Pip & Oak's last order day for delivery by Sat, May 8 | The wrap-and-ship ads stop the next morning; a late-gift ad takes over. |
| Wed, May 5 | Priority Mail at 3 days, the last paid option for Saturday | Glass is heavy, so faster shipping costs more. If you sell it, show that price. |
| Sun, May 9 | Mother's Day | An e-gift card for the shop, sent by email today. |
| Mon, May 10 onward | After Mother's Day | A "late, but lovely" gift ad for a week, then everyday self-purchase ads at $32. |
Mother's Day candle copy lines
- An hour to herself. About 50 of them.
- Wrapped, with your card, shipped straight to her.
- Fig, cedarwood and a hint of vanilla, for Mom.
- "Bought three as gifts and everyone asked where they were from."
- A jar she'll keep after the candle's gone.
- Order by Thu, Apr 29 for delivery by Sat, May 8.
Lines to skip: "Non-toxic" or "clean burning" unless you can prove them, "relaxing" as a promise about how she'll feel, and anything that suggests leaving it lit unattended.
