# Paste a product link, get ads built from that page

Source: https://storetoads.com/ai-ad-generator-from-url/

Link-to-ad tools are only as good as what they read from the link. StoreToAds reads the same public page a shopper sees: the product, its price and sale price, its photos, its rating and its review texts. Then it designs ads around the real photo and checks every fact against that page.

## How do I turn a product link into an ad?

Paste the product page link into StoreToAds. It reads the name, price, sale price, photos, rating and review texts from that page, plans ads that each argue a different reason to buy, designs them around your real photo and checks every fact against the page. Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace and PrestaShop all work.

- **Any store link.** A home page or one product page, on Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace or PrestaShop.
- **Read, not guessed.** Prices, ratings and quotes come from the page and are checked before you see an ad.
- **A plan for blocked stores.** Another way to read the page, then screenshots or typing it in yourself.

## What happens when you paste a link

1. **We check the link.** It has to be a public web page; private addresses and logins are refused.
2. **We read the product data the platform publishes.** Shopify's public product data, WooCommerce's Store API, the data Wix, Squarespace and PrestaShop put on their pages, or the schema.org product markup most stores publish for Google.
3. **We read the reviews.** From the page and from the review apps on it: Okendo, Yotpo, Judge.me, Stamped, Loox and Reviews.io.
4. **A researcher looks around.** It may open up to 8 more pages on the same site, such as a reviews or ingredients page, and keeps a fact only if its exact words are on a page it fetched.
5. **The engine plans the ads.** It lists the facts worth an ad and gives each ad a different reason to buy.
6. **It designs around your photo,** cut out and placed, never redrawn, then checks the layout and every number and quote against what it read.

## Store link or product link?

| You paste | The ads are about | Use it when |
| --- | --- | --- |
| One product page | That product | You have a hero product, a sale on one item, or a new launch |
| Your home page | A product the engine picks: one with a clear photo, a price and, ideally, reviews | You want to see what it chooses, or you sell many similar items |
| An Amazon or Etsy listing | That listing only (amazon.com /dp/ links, etsy.com /listing/ links) | You sell on a marketplace; we never search a brand's other listings |

Gift cards, samples and items without a price are skipped. If a product has variants, the price shown is the one the store lists for it, and a compare-at price becomes a real price-drop ad only when the store sets one.

## What we read on each platform

| Platform | What the reader gets | Worth knowing |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Shopify | Products, prices, compare-at prices, variants, photos, tags | When a store limits automatic reading, Shopify's public catalog is the fallback |
| WooCommerce | Prices and sale prices, photos, rating, review count and review texts | Read from the shop's public Store API |
| Wix | List, sale and compare-at prices and the full photo gallery | From the product page's own data |
| Squarespace | The catalog and each product's details | A sale price only when the item is marked on sale |
| PrestaShop | Product data and its reviews | An average rating only when every review can be read |
| Amazon and Etsy | The listing's title, price, photos, rating and reviews | Only the listing you paste |
| Any other store | Name, price, photos and reviews from standard product markup | Works on BigCommerce, Shopware and most custom builds |
*Every source is public: we never ask for a store login, a password or an API key.*

## When a store blocks us

Some stores turn away automated visitors, including some large Shopify stores. Here is what happens, in order:

1. **We try again a little later** if the store only asked us to slow down.
2. **We read the same pages another way,** through a page-fetching service, which gets most blocked stores open. A few, with strict bot walls, still refuse.
3. **If the home page fails, paste one product page.** It often works when the store's catalog is locked.
4. **If nothing gets through,** a paid plan can still make ads from that product: upload screenshots of the product page and we fill in the name, price, description and features from them, with nothing invented, or type the details in. You check them before any ad uses them. The free preview needs a readable link.

> Honest note: a password-protected store (a store that isn't open yet) can't be read from a link at all. Use screenshots or type the product in.

## A real run: one product link to finished ads

Gilt Harbor is a fictional jewelry store we made to show the engine at work. A made-up shop has no website, so its product page was handed to the engine as data in the same shape our readers produce from a real link. Everything after that point is the live engine.

| What the reader returned | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Product | Everyday Huggie Hoops, 18k Gold Vermeil |
| Price | $58, compare-at $72 |
| Rating | 4.9 from 1,042 reviews |
| Review texts | 4, such as "Sensitive ears and zero irritation. Finally." |
| Details | 12 mm, 3 mm wide, hinged click closure, hypoallergenic and nickel-free, shower and swim safe |
| Store offers | Free shipping and free returns; 1-year warranty |
| Photos | A packshot and a lifestyle photo |

From that, the engine planned ads on different reasons to buy (durability, social proof, the real $14 saving, craft), designed each around the real photo, and checked them. The facts the check matched are listed under each ad below. The $14 saving appears only next to the $72 compare-at price that backs it, and reviews are quoted word for word.

## What a link can't tell us

- **Offers that live only in your head or your email list.** Type them into Your brief and they become facts the check accepts.
- **Claims you don't want made.** Add them to Never say, and they stay out of every ad.
- **Reviews held by an app we don't read yet.** You'll get fewer review ads, not invented ones.
- **Social profiles.** An Instagram or TikTok link isn't a product page; paste the store instead.

If you just want to try it, the [free AI ad generator](https://storetoads.com/free-ai-ad-generator/) page lists exactly what the 3 free ads include.

## The Gilt Harbor ads, with what the check matched

Four of the ads the engine made from the Gilt Harbor product data above. Under each: the store facts it uses and what the fact check matched against the page.

### Gilt Harbor: Gold that keeps up.

![Soft cream Gilt Harbor ad: 'Gold that keeps up.' beside a close-up of a blonde woman's ear wearing two gold huggie hoops, a gold 'Shower & swim safe' seal, a 4.9 star review card with a quote, and a 'Shop the huggies · $58' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/giltharbor-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Lifestyle type. Reason to buy: Durability.*

The close-up shows the hoops at real size, and the 'Shower & swim safe' seal answers the biggest worry about gold jewelry. A swimming review from a verified buyer backs it up right next to the button.

Store facts used: 18k gold vermeil, shower and swim safe, $58, 4.9 from 1,042 reviews, Gabriela S. quote.

### Gilt Harbor: “Sensitive ears and zero irritation. Finally.”

![Cream Gilt Harbor ad: '“Sensitive ears and zero irritation. Finally.”' with a five-star Claire B. review, a photo of gold huggie hoops on an ear, a navy gift box, two more reviews, $58 was $72, 4.9 from 1,042 reviews and a 'Shop the huggies' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/giltharbor-03.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Review card. Reason to buy: Social proof.*

The headline is a real buyer's words, so it reads as proof rather than a claim. The ear photo shows the hoops worn, and two shorter reviews add other reasons to buy: they last and they look pricey.

Store facts used: Claire B. quote, hypoallergenic, nickel-free, 18k gold vermeil, two reviews, $58, was $72, 4.9 from 1,042 reviews.

### Gilt Harbor: Gold, marked down.

![Mustard gold Gilt Harbor ad: 'Gold, marked down.' above a pair of gold huggie hoops on a navy Gilt Harbor box, with a round 'Save $14' sticker, a large $58, the old $72 crossed out, 4.9 from 1,042 reviews and a 'Shop now · $58' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/giltharbor-04.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Price drop. Reason to buy: Offer.*

The new price is the biggest thing on the ad, with the crossed-out $72 and the Save $14 sticker beside it, so the saving is clear at once. The headline plays on gold and price.

Store facts used: $58, was $72, save $14, 4.9 from 1,042 reviews, 18K gold vermeil, free shipping and returns, 1-year warranty.

### Gilt Harbor: Tiny hoops. Serious gold.

![Dark navy Gilt Harbor ad: 'Tiny hoops. Serious gold.' with a photo of two small gold hoops on a navy Gilt Harbor box, four labeled specs (12 mm, 3 mm, hinged, 18k gold), 4.9 stars, $72 crossed out and a 'Shop · $58' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/giltharbor-06.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Annotated hero. Reason to buy: Craft.*

Thin gold lines run from each spec to the part of the hoops it describes, so a shopper can check size, width, closure and finish in one look. The headline pairs small size with real gold.

Store facts used: 12 mm diameter, 3 mm width, hinged click closure, 18k gold vermeil on solid 925 sterling silver, $58, was $72, 4.9 from 1,042 reviews, 1-year warranty.

## How StoreToAds makes it

1. **Paste the link.** A product page for one item, or the home page to let the engine choose.
2. **Watch it read.** The steps show as they happen: reading the store, cutting out the photo, planning, designing, checking, rendering.
3. **See what was checked.** Every price, rating and quote in an ad matches the page it came from.
4. **Fix the inputs, not the pixels.** Wrong product? Paste another link. Missing offer? Type it into Your brief for the next batch.

## Questions about making ads from a URL

**Can AI make an ad from a website link?**

Yes. Paste a store or product link into StoreToAds and it reads the product, price, photos and reviews from that page, designs ads around the real photo and checks every fact. The first 3 ads are free.

**Does it work with a Shopify product link?**

Yes. Paste the /products/ link and the ads are about that product, with its price, compare-at price, photos and reviews from the store.

**Which page should I paste?**

One product page if you have a product in mind. Your home page if you want the engine to pick a product with a good photo, a price and reviews.

**Do you need my store login or an API key?**

No. We only read public pages, the same ones a shopper sees. There is nothing to connect for a link.

**What if my store blocks bots?**

We read the page another way first, which opens most blocked stores. If that fails, paste one product page. On a paid plan you can also add the product from screenshots of its page, or type the details in.

**Will the ads use my sale price?**

Yes, when your store shows one with a compare-at price. Without it, no ad claims a discount. Offers that aren't on the page can go in Your brief.

**Can I paste an Amazon or Etsy listing?**

Yes: an amazon.com /dp/ link or an etsy.com /listing/ link. We read that listing only, never the seller's other products.

**Is the URL to ad generator free?**

The first 3 ads are, with no card. Paid plans start at $49/month for 20 new ads a month.
