# Pet product ad prompts, tested on one pouch of treats

Source: https://storetoads.com/ad-prompts/pet-products/

Dogs are what image models do best: glossy coats, happy faces, a treat caught mid-air. Which makes it easy to miss what they do to the pouch. We ran five common pet product ad prompts for Scout & Bramble, a fictional maker of salmon training treats, and checked every result against the packshot and the product page. Every dog was adorable. Two runs promised things the brand never says.

*Updated October 17, 2026. Every prompt ran once on October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand. Nothing was retried or cherry-picked.*

## What is a good AI prompt for a pet product ad?

Attach your real packaging photo and say the pouch, colours and every word on it stay unchanged. Describe the dog and the moment, give your facts word for word, and add no claims. When we let the model write benefits, it called the pouch eco-friendly and the treats all-natural, and misspelled the headline.

## The five prompts, run for real

Scout & Bramble · Salmon & Sweet Potato Training Bites, 8 oz · $16 · 4.8 from 3,207 reviews · fictional

Scout & Bramble's product page: Salmon & Sweet Potato Training Bites, resealable 8 oz pouch, $16. Wild-caught Alaskan salmon is the first ingredient, plus sweet potato and pumpkin; 3 calories a bite, about 300 bites a pouch; no corn, wheat, soy or artificial preservatives; baked in small batches in Oregon; rated 4.8 from 3,207 reviews. The packshot is a kraft pouch with a dark green front panel. A to C ran without it; D and E had it attached.

### Prompt A: The happy-dog poster prompt

*ChatGPT-style prompt, no photo.* Facts plus "a happy golden retriever next to the pouch": the dog treat version of the poster prompts shared for ChatGPT.

> Create a cute Instagram ad for my dog treat brand SCOUT & BRAMBLE. Product: Salmon & Sweet Potato Training Bites, 8 oz resealable pouch, wild Alaskan salmon is the first ingredient, 3 calories per bite, about 300 bites per pouch, no corn, wheat or soy, $16. Show a happy golden retriever sitting next to the green pouch. Include the brand name, product name, price and a "Shop now" button.

![AI output for the first prompt: a golden retriever sitting beside a green pouch with a clear window, a salmon and sweet potato drawing and a round seal, under the headline Train with love. Reward with the best., with four product points, an 8 oz badge, $16 and a Shop now button.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/pet-products/A.webp)

*Made with GPT-5.4 Image 2 (OpenAI, through the OpenRouter API), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- Salmon first, 3 calories a bite, about 300 bites, no corn, wheat or soy, 8 oz and $16 are all correct.
- The dog is well drawn, with a believable coat, paws and collar tag.

**What went wrong**

- The pouch is a redesign: a clear window, a salmon and sweet potato illustration and a round seal that the real kraft and green pouch doesn't have.
- Through the window the treats look like dry kibble, not the soft pea-sized bites the page describes.

**Could you run it?** Charming and accurate in its words, with packaging a customer won't find on the shelf.

### Prompt B: The "catch the treat" benefits prompt

*Gemini-style prompt, no photo.* A dog catching a treat mid-air plus "write a catchy headline and three benefits": a favourite of pet ad prompt lists for Gemini.

> Generate a pet product advertisement for Scout & Bramble Training Bites ($16). Green and kraft stand-up pouch with a dog icon, a happy dog catching a treat mid-air in a park. Write a catchy headline and three benefits, add "4.8 stars from 3,207 reviews" and the price. Playful, warm, premium.

![AI output for the second prompt: two golden dogs leaping in a park beside a kraft pouch with a green base reading Scout & Bramble Training Bites and Premium, eco-friendly stand-up pouch, under the headline The training tool they'll begg for!, with three benefits, 4.8 stars and Only $16! a bag.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/pet-products/B.webp)

*Made with Nano Banana 2 (Gemini 3.1 Flash Image) (Google, through the OpenRouter API), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 1 · Unasked details: 2

**What went right**

- The rating and review count are exactly as given.
- The park scene has energy, and the dogs are convincing in motion.

**What went wrong**

- The headline reads "THEY'LL BEGG FOR!", misspelled in the biggest type on the ad.
- The pouch is labelled "Premium, eco-friendly stand-up pouch". The page makes no environmental claim, and the FTC's Green Guides warn against broad ones like this without proof.
- A benefit says "Real ingredients, all-natural (no fillers)". The page lists what isn't in the treats but never says all-natural.

**Could you run it?** Do not run: a spelling mistake in the headline and two claims the brand would have to defend.

### Prompt C: The cosy keyword prompt

*Midjourney-style keyword prompt, no photo.* "Pet product photography" prompts: the pouch text in quotes, a breed, a sunny room, camera terms.

> pet product photography, kraft stand-up pouch with dark green front panel, text "SCOUT & BRAMBLE Salmon & Sweet Potato TRAINING BITES", small dog line icon, a pile of tiny soft treats, a corgi looking at the pouch, sunny living room floor, warm light, photorealistic, 8k --ar 4:5 --v 7 --style raw

![AI output for the third prompt: a corgi sniffing a kraft pouch with a dark green panel reading Scout & Bramble Salmon & Sweet Potato Training Bites, a line drawing of a standing dog and a garbled line of small print, beside a pile of brown treats on a wooden floor.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/pet-products/C.webp)

*Made with FLUX.2 Pro (Black Forest Labs, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 1 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- The main pouch text is spelled correctly, and the kraft and green colours match.
- The corgi and the warm room are well done.

**What went wrong**

- A line of small print under the product name is gibberish.
- The dog icon is a whole standing dog, not the brand's dog face, and the treats look like a pile of kibble.
- No price or headline: a photo, not an ad.

**Could you run it?** A nice scene with a pouch that is close but not yours. Fine as a backdrop.

### Prompt D: ChatGPT with the pouch photo

*ChatGPT-style prompt with the product photo.* Upload the packshot, ask for a morning scene with a leash, supply the lines: OpenAI's documented edit flow.

> Here is my product photo. Turn it into an Instagram ad for my dog treat brand Scout & Bramble. Put the pouch on a wooden floor next to a leash and a few treats, sunny morning. Keep the pouch and its text exactly as they are. Add the headline "Salmon first. 3 calories a bite.", "About 300 bites per pouch" and the price $16.

![AI output for the fourth prompt: Scout & Bramble's kraft and green pouch on a sunny wooden floor beside a green leash and a few treats, a golden retriever lying behind it, under the headline Salmon first. 3 calories a bite., with About 300 bites per pouch and $16.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/pet-products/D.webp)

*Made with GPT Image 2.5 (OpenAI, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product kept · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- The pouch matches the packshot: the dog face icon, Salmon & Sweet Potato, TRAINING BITES and NET WT 8 OZ (227 g).
- The headline, the bites line and the price are exactly as written.
- It added a golden retriever we didn't ask for, and it's a good one: natural pose, nothing odd about the paws.

**What went wrong**

- The green leash beside it carries a small dog-face mark like the one on the pouch, as if the brand sold leashes. Easy to miss, worth checking: props shouldn't carry your logo.

**Could you run it?** Ready to use. The accuracy came from the photo and our lines; nothing compared them with the store.

### Prompt E: Gemini with the pouch photo

*Gemini-style prompt with the product photo.* Keep the product, add a person's hand and a dog: the lifestyle edit people ask Nano Banana for.

> Use this exact treat pouch. Show a person's hand offering one treat to an eager beagle, the pouch in the other hand. Do not change the pouch or its text. Add the text "Training Bites, $16" at the top.

![AI output for the fifth prompt: a hand offering a single treat to a beagle while the other hand holds Scout & Bramble's kraft and green pouch, on a plain cream background, with Training Bites, $16 at the top.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/pet-products/E.webp)

*Made with Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image) (Google, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product kept · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- The pouch keeps its icon, product name and net weight line.
- The beagle's attention on the treat is exactly the moment the prompt described.
- Both hands look natural, gripping the treat and the pouch the way people do.

**What went wrong**

Nothing we could find.

**Could you run it?** A strong lifestyle image. Add the facts that sell the treat elsewhere in the ad.

## What the five runs show for pet products

No model struggled with dogs. The golden retrievers, the corgi and the beagle were all believable, with sensible paws. The pouch was the weak point: without the photo, every run redesigned it, and two showed the soft training bites as dry kibble.

The claims were the bigger problem. The run that wrote its own benefits called the pouch eco-friendly and the treats all-natural, neither of which the page says, and misspelled the headline. Pet owners read treat claims carefully, and so do regulators.

With the packshot attached, both models kept the pouch and printed our lines exactly. That's one good image. A training-treat brand also needs the square for the shop, the vertical for Stories and fresh angles every few weeks.

For lines and angles that suit treats, see our [pet product ad ideas](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/pet-products/). For channels, a first budget and the offers that work, see [how to advertise pet products](https://storetoads.com/how-to-advertise/pet-products/).

## The same treats, made by our engine

Our engine built these from Scout & Bramble's product page and reviews. It placed the packshot without redrawing it and checked each number and quote against the page before the ad was delivered.

### Scout & Bramble: Sit. Stay. Salmon.

![Muted green-gray Scout & Bramble ad: 'Sit. Stay. Salmon.' beside a golden retriever looking up at a hand holding a treat, with a kraft Salmon & Sweet Potato Training Bites pouch, a '~300 bites' badge, 4.8 from 3,207 reviews and a 'Shop training bites · $16' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/scoutbramble-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Lifestyle type. Reason to buy: Ingredients.*

Salmon as ingredient #1, 3 calories a bite and about 300 bites, each from the page, beside the real pouch. No eco or all-natural claims, because the store makes none.

Store facts used: Wild-caught Alaskan salmon as ingredient #1, 3 calories per bite, no corn, wheat or soy, 8 oz resealable pouch, ~300 bites, 4.8 from 3,207 reviews, $16.

Matched by the fact check: $16, 4.8 rating, 3,207 reviews, 3 calories, 8 oz, #1.

### Scout & Bramble: About ______ training bites in one pouch.

![Cream Scout & Bramble ad: 'About ______ training bites in one pouch.' with a blank in the headline, answered by a yellow sticker reading The answer 300 bites. Kraft pouch photo, 3 calories each, 8 oz, a 'Shop · $16.00' button and a five-star quote from Omar F.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/scoutbramble-06.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Fill in the blank. Reason to buy: Value.*

A fill-in-the-blank on bites per pouch, answered with the page's own number. The pouch is the packshot file, so its text can't come back misspelled.

Store facts used: 300 bites, 3 calories each, resealable 8 oz pouch, $16.00, quoted reviewer Omar F..

Matched by the fact check: $16.00, 3 calories, 8 oz, 1 review quote, word for word.

### The difference, side by side

| | Prompting an image model | Our engine |
| --- | --- | --- |
| The pouch | Redesigned each run (windows, seals, new icons) unless you attach the photo | Your packshot placed as it is |
| The treats | Often drawn as kibble, whatever the page says | Shown as photographed, with the page's size and calories |
| Eco and natural claims | Added when the model writes benefits | Only claims the page states; anything else is removed before delivery |
| Spelling | Usually right, but not always ("BEGG") | Your text set as type, and checked against the page |
| Next batch | New prompts, new checks | New angles weekly on weekly plans, from the store's latest data |

## A pet product prompt pack that starts from your packaging photo

For treats, food, toys and accessories. Attach your own packshot, fill the [brackets] with facts copied from your product page, and keep claims out of the model's hands.

### 1. The first-ingredient ad

When what's inside is the reason to buy.

```
Use the attached photo of my [PRODUCT] exactly as it is: same packaging, colours, icon and every word printed on it. Do not redesign it. Place it on [SURFACE] with [A FEW OF THE REAL TREATS OR PRODUCT, as they actually look]. Add only this text: headline "[FIRST INGREDIENT OR KEY FACT, word for word]", line "[A NUMBER FROM MY PAGE, e.g. calories or count]", price "[PRICE]". No badges, no other claims.
```

### 2. The dog moment ad

For a lifestyle frame around the product.

```
Keep the attached product photo unchanged and in sharp focus. Add [BREED OR SIZE OF DOG THAT FITS YOUR CUSTOMERS] [DOING THE REAL USE, e.g. sitting for a training treat] in [SETTING]. Natural paws and anatomy, one dog only. No text.
```

### 3. The review ad

When owners and trainers say it better.

```
Use my packaging photo as it is on one side of a plain [COLOUR] background. On the other side, set this review word for word: "[REVIEW TEXT]" and "[RATING] stars from [REVIEW COUNT] reviews". Do not edit the review or add seals.
```

### 4. The claims and spelling check

Before you download any pet product ad.

```
Spell out every word in your image letter by letter, on the packaging and around it. Compare the packaging text with the photo I attached, and flag any word that claims something about nature, the environment, health or safety. Then fix those and nothing else.
```

## Tips for each tool, for pet products

### ChatGPT

- Attach the pouch. Without it, GPT-5.4 Image 2 kept our facts but redesigned the packaging and drew kibble in the window.
- With the photo, GPT Image 2.5 kept every word on the pouch, including the net weight.
- Describe the treats as they really are (soft, pea-sized) if they appear outside the pouch; models default to kibble.

### Gemini

- Don't ask Gemini for benefits. Nano Banana 2 added an eco-friendly pouch claim and an all-natural line for us.
- Read the headline letter by letter: our Nano Banana 2 run spelled "beg" with two g's.
- With the pouch attached and a simple scene, Nano Banana Pro kept the packaging intact and drew natural hands.

### Midjourney-style tools

- Quoted text came back mostly right, but small print turned to gibberish and the brand icon changed.
- Flags such as --ar and --v are Midjourney parameters, read at the end of the prompt per its docs. FLUX ignored them.
- Use these tools for the dog and the room, then put your real pouch photo in the ad.

## Questions about pet product ad prompts

**Can ChatGPT make a dog treat ad?**

Yes. From a description, it gave us a charming ad with correct facts on a redesigned pouch. With the packshot attached, GPT Image 2.5 kept Scout & Bramble's pouch and printed our lines exactly. It doesn't check those facts against your product page.

**What are some good slogans for pet products?**

The ones built on something an owner can check: the first ingredient, calories per treat, how many come in a bag, or a trainer's own words. "Salmon first. 3 calories a bite." sells a training treat better than any line about love.

**Can you give examples of advertisements that use animals?**

Every output on this page uses a dog, from a retriever beside the pouch to a beagle taking a treat. The engine-made ads show the other half: the real packaging and the facts. The strongest pet ads combine the two.

**Can I call my pet treats all-natural in an AI-made ad?**

Only if you can back it up and your product page says so. In our test, a model added "all-natural" to treats whose page says no corn, wheat, soy or artificial preservatives, which is a different and narrower claim. Words on the ad are your responsibility, whoever wrote them.

**Is "eco-friendly packaging" a claim I need to prove?**

Yes. The FTC's Green Guides advise against broad environmental claims like "eco-friendly" unless they're qualified and substantiated. One of our runs printed it on the pouch unprompted, which is a good reason to never let the model write packaging copy.

**Why does AI draw my soft treats as kibble?**

Pet food images in its training are mostly dry kibble, so that's its default. Describe your treats exactly (soft, pea-sized, a colour) or attach a photo that shows them, and check the result.

**How do I sell pet products online?**

Show the product in real use, lead with one fact owners care about, and use reviews from owners and trainers as proof. Our guide to advertising pet products covers channels, a starting budget and offers such as subscriptions.

**Will Meta label a pet ad made with AI?**

It may. Meta says it detects ads created or edited with third-party generative AI tools through industry signals such as C2PA metadata, and can show an AI info label on them.

**Which prompt should a pet brand start with?**

The first-ingredient ad from the pack above, with your packaging photo attached. It puts your strongest fact in the headline and gives the model nothing to invent.
