# Perfume ad prompts, tested on one bottle

Source: https://storetoads.com/ad-prompts/perfume/

Perfume prompt lists show one perfect image and never the bottle it was meant to sell. We pasted five common perfume ad prompts into the image models behind ChatGPT and Gemini and into a Midjourney-style keyword prompt, for Orsolune, a fictional perfume house, and kept every result. The words mostly came out right. The bottle mostly didn't.

*Updated October 17, 2026. Every prompt ran once on October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand. Nothing was retried or cherry-picked.*

## What is a good AI prompt for a perfume ad?

Start from your own bottle photo, not a description. Attach it, say the bottle, cap, liquid colour and label must not change, then give the scene, the exact headline, price and rating, and say no other text. Without a photo, none of our three runs drew the right bottle; with one, both models kept it.

## The five prompts, run for real

Orsolune · Fig Noir Eau de Parfum, 50 ml · $88 · 4.8 from 486 reviews · fictional

Orsolune's product page says: Fig Noir eau de parfum, 50 ml, $88; fig leaf and bergamot on top, black fig and iris at the heart, cedarwood and white musk at the base; 18% concentration, 8+ hours on skin; rated 4.8 from 486 reviews. Each prompt got those facts the way an owner would type them. Prompts A to C had no photo; D and E had the packshot (a plain photo of the product alone) shown here attached.

![Orsolune's product photo: Fig Noir Eau de Parfum, 50 ml, the packshot attached to prompts D and E.](https://storetoads.com/samples/orsolune.webp)

### Prompt A: The ChatGPT poster prompt

*ChatGPT-style prompt, no photo.* The usual shape of a "perfume prompt for ChatGPT": brand, product, notes, price, a mood, and "make it look like an Instagram ad".

> Create a luxury perfume advertisement poster for my brand ORSOLUNE. The perfume is called Fig Noir, eau de parfum, 50 ml, price $88. Notes: fig leaf and bergamot on top, black fig and iris at the heart, cedarwood and white musk at the base. Show the bottle on a dark moody background with fresh figs and leaves, cinematic lighting. Include the brand name, the product name, the price and a "Shop now" button. Make it look like a high-end Instagram ad.

![AI output for the first prompt: a tall, square, smoky-glass perfume bottle with a faceted black cap, a gold collar and a black label reading Orsolune Fig Noir, among cut figs and a lime slice, with $88, a Shop now button and the notes in a footer.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/perfume/A.webp)

*Made with GPT-5.4 Image 2 (OpenAI, through the OpenRouter API), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product invented · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 2

**What went right**

- Every word is right: Orsolune, Fig Noir, Eau de Parfum 50 ml, $88 and all six notes.
- It reads as a finished ad: name, price, button, notes in a footer.

**What went wrong**

- The bottle isn't Orsolune's. It drew a tall square bottle with a faceted cap, a gold collar and a black label; the real one is round and clear, with pale gold juice, a plain black cap and a cream label.
- A lime slice sits by the figs. Lime isn't a note, and bergamot looks nothing like it.
- It added a crescent moon logo the brand doesn't have.

**Could you run it?** A handsome ad for a perfume you don't sell. Anyone who orders from it gets a different bottle.

### Prompt B: The Gemini "catchy headline" prompt

*Gemini-style prompt, no photo.* Letting the model write the headline and selling points is the "perfume prompt for Gemini" pattern, and the place invented claims come from.

> Generate a professional perfume advertisement poster for Orsolune Fig Noir Eau de Parfum (50 ml, $88). Elegant glass bottle with a black cap and a cream label that says ORSOLUNE, FIG NOIR. Warm golden light, silk fabric, figs. Write a catchy headline and three short selling points, and show "4.8 stars from 486 reviews" near the bottom. Square-ish feed format, premium beauty brand look.

![AI output for the second prompt: a round bottle with a black cap and a cream label on dark silk among figs, under the headline Dark. Decadent. Unforgettable., with three selling points and a 4.8 stars line.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/perfume/B.webp)

*Made with Nano Banana 2 (Gemini 3.1 Flash Image) (Google, through the OpenRouter API), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 2

**What went right**

- The rating line is exactly as given: 4.8 stars from 486 reviews.
- Because the prompt described it, the bottle came out close: round, black cap, cream label.

**What went wrong**

- A selling point calls the scent fig, cedarwood and amber. There's no amber in Fig Noir; the base is cedarwood and white musk.
- It printed the price on the bottle's label ("50 ml | 1.6 fl. oz. | $88"). Real labels don't carry prices.
- The juice is dark amber, not the pale gold in the photo.
- The headline and two selling points ("Timeless elegance", "for the discerning soul") would fit any perfume.

**Could you run it?** Passes a quick look and fails on the details a perfume buyer reads: a note it doesn't have and a price on the glass.

### Prompt C: The Midjourney-style keyword prompt

*Midjourney-style keyword prompt, no photo.* Comma-separated keywords, camera terms and --ar flags: the format most "perfume image prompts" collections share.

> luxury perfume bottle product photography, round clear glass bottle with matte black cap, cream label that reads "ORSOLUNE FIG NOIR", golden perfume liquid, halved fresh figs and fig leaves, dark green velvet, dramatic side light, editorial, 85mm, shallow depth of field, ultra realistic, 8k --ar 4:5 --style raw --v 7

![AI output for the third prompt: a round bottle with a black cap and a cream label reading Orsolune Fig Noir, filled with dark amber liquid, among halved figs on green velvet, with no headline or price.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/perfume/C.webp)

*Made with FLUX.2 Pro (Black Forest Labs, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 1

**What went right**

- The label reads ORSOLUNE and FIG NOIR, spelled right.
- As a still life it works: figs, leaves, velvet and side light.

**What went wrong**

- It's a photo, not an ad: no price, headline or button. A keyword prompt describes a picture, and a picture is what you get.
- The juice is dark amber, the cap gained a small logo, and the label lost its Eau de parfum · 50 ml line.
- The --ar 4:5 --style raw --v 7 flags are Midjourney settings. FLUX ignored them and returned a 3:4 image, cropped to 4:5 here.

**Could you run it?** Fine as a mood shot if you're relaxed about the bottle. You'd still have to lay the ad on top.

### Prompt D: ChatGPT with the bottle photo

*ChatGPT-style prompt with the product photo.* Attach the packshot and ask for an ad: the workflow OpenAI's help pages describe, and the one most owners now try first.

> Here is my product photo. Turn it into a scroll-stopping Instagram ad for my perfume brand Orsolune. Put the bottle on a dark stone surface with halved figs and fig leaves and warm evening light. Keep the bottle exactly as it is. Add the headline "Fig leaf, black fig, iris", the line "Eau de parfum. Lasts 8+ hours.", the price $88 and "4.8 stars from 486 reviews".

![AI output for the fourth prompt: Orsolune's round bottle with its cream label on dark stone between halved figs, fig leaves and an iris flower, under the headline Fig leaf, black fig, iris, with $88 and 4.8 stars from 486 reviews.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/perfume/D.webp)

*Made with GPT Image 2.5 (OpenAI, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product kept · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- The bottle survived: round clear glass, pale gold juice, black cap, and a label that still reads ORSOLUNE, FIG NOIR, EAU DE PARFUM · 50 ML.
- Headline, line, price and rating are word for word.
- The iris it added is one of the real notes, so the prop is honest.

**What went wrong**

- It's a redrawn copy, not your file: the label's typeface is close but not identical. Compare it with the original at full size.

**Could you run it?** Of the five, this is the one you could run. It took the photo and every word spelled out, and nothing checked the words except us.

### Prompt E: Gemini with the bottle photo

*Gemini-style prompt with the product photo.* The "product photo Nano Banana prompt": keep the product, change the scene, often with a hand in shot.

> Use this exact perfume bottle. Show a woman's hand holding it up in late sunlight under a fig tree, leaf shadows on the wall. Do not change the bottle, the cap or the label. Add a small line of text at the top: "Fig Noir by Orsolune" and "$88" at the bottom right.

![AI output for the fifth prompt: a hand holding the Orsolune bottle against a sunlit wall with fig leaf shadows, set inside a white frame with Fig Noir by Orsolune above and $88 below.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/perfume/E.webp)

*Made with Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image) (Google, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product kept · Text errors: 1 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- The hand looks natural and holds the bottle at a believable size.
- The label still reads ORSOLUNE and FIG NOIR.

**What went wrong**

- The small print went soft: "50 ML" is hard to read at full size.
- It set the photo inside a white frame with text above and below, a poster inside the ad, instead of putting the words on the scene.

**Could you run it?** A good lifestyle frame. Crop the border and check the label before it goes anywhere.

## What the five runs show

Spelling is mostly solved. In the three runs without a photo, every word we typed came back right. The trouble moved to the product: one bottle invented outright, two close but changed, and the one run that wrote its own copy gave Fig Noir a note it doesn't have.

With the packshot attached, both models kept the bottle. That's the fair headline for perfume in 2026: if you have one product and an afternoon, attach the photo, spell out every word and check the label at full size.

What a prompt can't do is know your store. The price and rating were right because we typed them right. When the price changes, or you need the 9:16 for Stories, you start again: one image, one size, one check at a time.

For what to say in the ad, see our [perfume ad ideas](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/perfume/), with seven annotated examples; for where to run it and what to spend, our [guide to advertising perfume](https://storetoads.com/how-to-advertise/perfume/).

## The same perfume, made by our engine

These came from Orsolune's product page instead of a prompt. The engine read the notes, price, rating and reviews, placed the packshot as it is, and matched every fact against the page before the ad was delivered.

### Orsolune: Why does this fig smell green, not sweet?

![Dark brown Orsolune ad: 'Why does this fig smell green, not sweet?' with a line of scent notes, a Fig Noir 50 ml bottle beside a halved fig and leaves, a quote from Elena V., 4.8 from 486 reviews and a 'Discover Fig Noir' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/orsolune-02.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Question hook. Reason to buy: Curiosity.*

The same notes the prompts were given, in a headline that asks why a fig smells green. The bottle is the packshot file itself, cut out and placed, so the label can't drift.

Store facts used: Scent notes, 50 ml, 4.8 from 486 reviews, quote from Elena V. (verified): Green and creamy, not sweet..

Matched by the fact check: 4.8 rating, 486 reviews, 50 ml, 1 review quote, word for word.

### Orsolune: Read this before you buy another perfume.

![Warm cream Orsolune ad: 'Read this before you buy another perfume.' with three checkmarked facts (18% eau de parfum, lasts 8+ hours, refillable 50 ml glass bottle), a cream box and bottle on a gold block, 4.8 stars, and a 'Shop Fig Noir, $88' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/orsolune-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Read this first. Reason to buy: Curiosity.*

The practical facts a blind buyer needs (18%, 50 ml, the free 2 ml sample, $88), each read from the page. No amber, no extra notes: the fact check only passes claims the store makes.

Store facts used: 18% concentration, lasts 8+ hours, refillable 50 ml bottle, 4.8 from 486 reviews, $88, free 2 ml sample with every order.

Matched by the fact check: $88, 4.8 rating, 486 reviews, 18%, 50 ml, 2 ml.

### Orsolune: 4.8 out of 5.

![Golden tan Orsolune ad: '4.8 out of 5.' with a huge black 4.8, 'From 486 reviews. Green, creamy, never sweet.', a five-star 486 reviews pill, a quote from Elena V., a Fig Noir bottle and a 'Shop Fig Noir, $88' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/orsolune-04.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Big number. Reason to buy: Social proof.*

A customer's words and the real rating carry the ad. The quote is verbatim from a review on the page, which is the part no image prompt can supply.

Store facts used: 4.8 from 486 reviews, quote from Elena V. (verified), $88, 50 ml, green creamy scent.

Matched by the fact check: $88, 486 reviews, 1 review quote, word for word.

### The difference, side by side

|  | A prompt in an image model | Our engine |
| --- | --- | --- |
| The bottle | Redrawn every time; kept only when you attach the photo, and even then a close copy | Your packshot file, cut out and placed as it is |
| Notes, price, rating | Whatever you typed, plus whatever the model writes when you let it | Read from the product page and matched by a fact check before delivery |
| New lines | Selling points nobody gave it ("amber", "timeless elegance") | Only claims the store states; a fix round removes the rest |
| Sizes | One image per prompt; each size is a new, different image | One design in 4:5, 1:1, 9:16, 2:3 and 1.91:1 |
| Next week | New prompts, new checks | New ads every Monday on weekly plans, steered by what sold |

## A perfume prompt pack that starts from your bottle photo

Paste these into ChatGPT or Gemini with your own packshot attached. Replace everything in [brackets] with words from your product page, exactly as written there, and don't ask the model to write copy for you.

### 1. The notes ad

When the scent is the story.

```
Use the attached photo of my perfume exactly as it is: same bottle shape, cap, liquid colour and label. Do not redraw or restyle the label. Place it on [SURFACE] with [PROPS THAT MATCH NOTES ON MY PAGE, e.g. halved figs] in [LIGHT]. Add only this text: headline "[TOP NOTE], [HEART NOTE], [BASE NOTE]", line "[CONCENTRATION]. [WEAR TIME AS MY PAGE STATES IT].", price "[PRICE]". Keep the top fifth of the image clear of the bottle. Portrait 4:5.
```

### 2. The try-it-first ad

When you sell samples or a discovery set.

```
Use the attached bottle photo unchanged and place my [SAMPLE SIZE, e.g. 2 ml] sample vial beside it so the size difference is clear. Neutral background, soft shadow. Add only this text: "[SAMPLE OFFER, word for word from my page]" and "[FULL BOTTLE SIZE], [PRICE]". No other words, no badges.
```

### 3. The review ad

When customers describe the scent better than you do.

```
Keep the attached bottle exactly as photographed. Put it on the right third of a [COLOUR] background. On the left, set this customer quote word for word: "[QUOTE FROM A REAL REVIEW]", then "[RATING] stars from [REVIEW COUNT] reviews". Serif type for the quote, nothing else on the image.
```

### 4. The gift ad

Q4, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day.

```
Use the attached photos of my bottle and its box without changing either. Show them together on [SURFACE] with [ONE GIFT PROP, e.g. a ribbon]. Add only: "[GIFT LINE, e.g. Ships in its gift box]" and "[PRICE]". Do not add a sale badge or a discount.
```

### 5. The check-it follow-up

After every image, before you download it.

```
Compare the bottle in the image you made with the photo I attached. List every difference in shape, cap, liquid colour and label text, letter by letter. Then make a new version with those differences fixed and nothing else changed.
```

## Tips for each tool, for perfume

### ChatGPT

- Attach the packshot and name what must not change: bottle, cap, liquid colour, label. In our run that was enough to keep the label word for word.
- Put every word of text in quotes and add "no other text". Left to write its own lines, a model adds notes your perfume doesn't have.
- Ask for each extra size as a new image from the same photo, and check the label again each time: every generation redraws it.

### Gemini

- Gemini edits an uploaded photo (Google's help page names Nano Banana 2 for edits). Say the bottle stays as it is and describe only the scene.
- Read the small print at full size. In our Nano Banana Pro run, "50 ML" went soft while the brand name stayed sharp.
- Ask for "text over the scene, no border" if you want a feed ad; ours came back framed like a poster.

### Midjourney-style tools

- Parameters such as --ar 4:5 work in Midjourney, at the end of the prompt, per its docs. Other tools ignore them or treat them as words.
- A keyword prompt makes a mood photo, not an ad. Plan to add the headline and price somewhere else.
- It has never seen your bottle. Use it for backgrounds and props, and keep your real bottle photo for the product.

## Questions about perfume ad prompts

**Where can I find perfume image prompts?**

Pinterest boards and prompt libraries collect hundreds, but they're written to make one striking picture, and almost none start from your bottle. The five on this page show what each style does in practice, and the pack above is written to keep a real bottle unchanged.

**Can ChatGPT make a perfume ad?**

Yes. Asked from a description, GPT-5.4 Image 2 made a polished ad with every word right but a bottle Orsolune doesn't sell. With the packshot attached, GPT Image 2.5 kept the bottle and label. Either way you check every fact and make each size yourself.

**Is ChatGPT or Gemini better for perfume ads?**

On one run each, both kept the bottle when given the photo, and both got the words right when we spelled them out. Gemini's run framed the image like a poster and softened the small print; ChatGPT's needed no fixes. One run each is not a ranking, so try both with your bottle.

**Is there a perfume ad prompt template?**

Use the five above. Each one keeps your bottle unchanged, gives the model the exact text and says no other words, which removes the two problems we saw most: a redrawn bottle and invented notes.

**What are some creative captions for perfume ads?**

Nouns beat adjectives: the notes in order ("Fig leaf and bergamot on top"), a place and a time ("Fig tree. August. Late light."), or a customer's words. Our perfume ad ideas page has more lines like these, each tied to a fact or a review.

**Why does AI change my perfume bottle?**

Without a photo the model has never seen it, so it draws a bottle that fits your words. With a photo it redraws the bottle from what it sees, which is why small print and typefaces drift even when the shape holds. Only placing the original file keeps it exact.

**Will Meta label an AI-made perfume ad?**

It may. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) says it uses industry signals such as C2PA metadata to spot ads made or edited with outside AI tools and can show an AI info label. OpenAI says images from ChatGPT and its API carry C2PA Content Credentials and a SynthID watermark.

**Do I need a perfume prompt generator?**

Not really. What a perfume ad needs is accurate facts and your real bottle, and a generator can supply neither. Copy a prompt from the pack, fill the brackets from your product page, and attach your photo.

**How do I advertise my perfume product?**

Lead with what a shopper can't smell through a screen: the notes, how long it lasts, a cheap way to try it and what customers say. Our guide to advertising perfume covers the channels, a first budget and how to use samples.

**Can I make a perfume bottle photo with AI instead of a photoshoot?**

You can make a scene, but not your bottle: a model that hasn't seen it draws a different one, and one that has redraws it. For ads, shoot one clean packshot (side light, dark background, label sharp) and let the tools change only what's around it.
