# Jewelry ad prompts, tested on one pair of hoops

Source: https://storetoads.com/ad-prompts/jewelry/

Jewelry is bought on proportions you can measure: a 12 mm hoop that's 3 mm thick is a different earring from a thin 12 mm hoop. We ran five common jewelry ad and product photography prompts for Gilt Harbor, a fictional brand, through the image models behind ChatGPT and Gemini and a Midjourney-style keyword prompt, and checked each pair against the packshot.

*Updated October 17, 2026. Every prompt ran once on October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand. Nothing was retried or cherry-picked.*

## What is a good AI prompt for jewelry product photography?

Attach a sharp photo of the real piece and state its size in millimetres, then tell the model the metal, thickness and closure must not change. Describe the surface and light, quote any text, and say where each piece is worn. Without the photo, our runs thinned or shrank the hoops.

## The five prompts, run for real

Gilt Harbor · Everyday Huggie Hoops, 18k Gold Vermeil · $58 (was $72) · 4.9 from 1,042 reviews · fictional

Gilt Harbor's product page: Everyday Huggie Hoops, $58 (was $72); thick 18k gold vermeil over solid 925 sterling silver; 12 mm across and 3 mm wide with a hinged click closure; hypoallergenic and nickel-free; water-resistant, safe for showers and swimming; 1-year warranty; rated 4.9 from 1,042 reviews. A to C had no photo; D and E had the packshot shown here, the hoops on a navy card.

![Gilt Harbor's product photo: Everyday Huggie Hoops, 18k Gold Vermeil, the packshot attached to prompts D and E.](https://storetoads.com/samples/giltharbor.webp)

### Prompt A: The ChatGPT luxury card prompt

*ChatGPT-style prompt, no photo.* "Luxury jewelry ad, velvet, soft light, sparkle" is the backbone of most jewellery prompts people copy into ChatGPT.

> Create a luxury jewelry ad for my brand GILT HARBOR. Product: Everyday Huggie Hoops, 18k gold vermeil over sterling silver, 12 mm, hypoallergenic, shower and swim safe. Price $58 (was $72). Show the earrings on a navy velvet card with soft light and sparkle. Include the brand name, product name, price and a "Shop now" button. Elegant, high-end Instagram ad.

![AI output for the first prompt: two slim gold hoops standing on a navy velvet display block printed Gilt Harbor, under an anchor logo and the name, with Everyday Huggie Hoops, four feature lines, $58 was $72 and a gold Shop now button.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/jewelry/A.webp)

*Made with GPT-5.4 Image 2 (OpenAI, through the OpenRouter API), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 1

**What went right**

- Every feature line is right: 18k gold vermeil over sterling silver, 12 mm, hypoallergenic, shower and swim safe.
- Price, old price and button are laid out like a premium jewelry ad.

**What went wrong**

- The hoops are thin and narrow. Gilt Harbor's are chunky, 3 mm wide, which is the whole point of the style.
- They stand on a velvet display block, not the flat printed card the brand ships them on.
- An anchor logo appears twice. The brand has no logo mark.

**Could you run it?** Polished and wrong in the one dimension a jewelry buyer studies: thickness. A customer expecting these would get a heavier hoop.

### Prompt B: The Gemini ear close-up prompt

*Gemini-style prompt, no photo.* An on-ear close-up plus model-written benefits is the standard "jewelry ad" request in Gemini.

> Generate a jewelry advertisement for Gilt Harbor Everyday Huggie Hoops in 18k gold vermeil, $58. Close-up of a model's ear wearing one small chunky gold huggie hoop, natural skin, soft daylight. Write a catchy headline and three benefits, add "4.9 stars from 1,042 reviews" and the price. Minimal, premium look.

![AI output for the second prompt: a side profile of a woman wearing one small gold huggie in her lobe, above the headline Elevate the everyday., three benefit columns, the rating, the brand name, a product line ending in a stray bracket and $58.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/jewelry/B.webp)

*Made with Nano Banana 2 (Gemini 3.1 Flash Image) (Google, through the OpenRouter API), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 1 · Unasked details: 2

**What went right**

- The rating line is exact, and the ear, skin and light look real.
- One benefit describes the metal correctly: thick 18k gold vermeil on sterling silver.

**What went wrong**

- The product line reads "Gilt Harbor Everyday Huggie Hoop)", singular and with a stray closing bracket.
- It wrote "Unparalleled comfort" and "Designed for continuous wear, morning to night", and called the fit "perfectly snug". None of that is on the page.
- The hoop is so small in the frame that its chunky shape is hard to read.

**Could you run it?** The photography is convincing; the copy is borrowed from every other jewelry brand, with a typo on the product name.

### Prompt C: The Midjourney-style macro prompt

*Midjourney-style keyword prompt, no photo.* "Macro jewelry product photography, sparkling highlights" is how most jewelry prompt collections open.

> macro jewelry product photography, pair of chunky small gold huggie hoop earrings, 18k gold vermeil, on a navy blue card printed "GILT HARBOR" in gold, soft window light, sparkling highlights, shallow depth of field, luxury editorial, ultra detailed, 8k --ar 4:5 --style raw --v 7

![AI output for the third prompt: a pair of chunky gold huggie hoops on a tall navy card standing upright, with GILT HARBOR printed in large gold serif letters below them and no other text.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/jewelry/C.webp)

*Made with FLUX.2 Pro (Black Forest Labs, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- These are chunky huggies with a believable hinge, the closest shape of the three no-photo runs.
- GILT HARBOR is spelled right on the card.

**What went wrong**

- The card stands upright and taller than the brand's flat, angled card, with the name set much larger.
- No price or headline. You'd need to build the ad around it.

**Could you run it?** Usable as an editorial image if your hoops look like these. Shoppers would still be comparing against a card that isn't yours.

### Prompt D: ChatGPT with the hoops photo

*ChatGPT-style prompt with the product photo.* Uploading a product shot and asking for an ad is the edit workflow OpenAI documents for ChatGPT images.

> Here is my product photo. Turn it into an Instagram ad for my jewelry brand Gilt Harbor. Put the card with the earrings on a linen surface with a soft shadow and a sprig of dried flowers. Keep the earrings and the card exactly as they are. Add the headline "Shower-proof gold hoops", the price "$58 (was $72)" and "4.9 stars from 1,042 reviews".

![AI output for the fourth prompt: Gilt Harbor's navy card with the two chunky gold hoops on linen beside dried flowers, under the headline Shower-proof gold hoops, with $58 (was $72) and 4.9 stars from 1,042 reviews.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/jewelry/D.webp)

*Made with GPT Image 2.5 (OpenAI, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product kept · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- Card, lettering and hoops match the packshot, including the 3 mm thickness and the angle of the card.
- Headline, prices and rating are word for word, and no extra badges appeared.

**What went wrong**

Nothing we could find.

**Could you run it?** A clean, runnable ad. The proportions held because the model copied a photo instead of reading a description.

### Prompt E: Gemini with the hoops photo

*Gemini-style prompt with the product photo.* On-ear shots from a single packshot are the promise of most "product photo nano banana" prompts for jewelry.

> Use these exact earrings. Show them worn by a woman, close-up of her ear and jawline, one 12 mm huggie hoop in each lobe, natural light. Keep the hoops exactly the same size, shape and color. Add the text "Everyday Huggie Hoops, $58" at the bottom.

![AI output for the fifth prompt: a close-up of one ear and jawline wearing both chunky gold hoops in the same lobe, overlapping, inside a frame with Everyday Huggie Hoops, $58 written below.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/jewelry/E.webp)

*Made with Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image) (Google, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- Each hoop keeps the right colour, thickness and polish, and the skin texture looks real.
- The text line is spelled right and placed where asked.

**What went wrong**

- Asked for one hoop in each lobe, it put both in the same ear, so close they overlap. Where they cross, the pair reads as one doubled hoop.
- The second ear never appears, so the image can't show how the pair is worn.

**Could you run it?** The metal is right and the styling isn't what was asked. Fine for a stacked look only if you sell it that way.

## What the five runs show for jewelry

Gold renders beautifully in every model now. What drifts is the geometry: the text-only ChatGPT run thinned the hoops, the Gemini run shrank one to a dot on an ear, and the keyword prompt redrew the card. For a product sold by the millimetre, that's the defect.

With the packshot attached, ChatGPT kept the hoops and card exactly, and Nano Banana Pro kept the metal but not the instructions, placing both hoops in one ear. Both still needed a careful look at full size before use.

Copy was the other weak spot. Asked to write benefits, the model reached for comfort and wear claims the store never made. Better lines come from what the page proves; our [jewelry ad ideas](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/jewelry/) page has examples tied to facts like the 3 mm width.

## The same hoops, made by our engine

These came from Gilt Harbor's product page. The engine placed the photographed hoops, never a drawn version, and used only the facts the page states, matched by a fact check before delivery.

### Gilt Harbor: Shower. Swim. Repeat.

![Blue and gold Gilt Harbor ad: 'Shower. Swim. Repeat.' with a 4.9 from 1,042 reviews badge, a photo of gold huggie earrings on a navy cloth, a Shower & Swim Safe seal, a customer quote, and a 'Shop the huggies · $58' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/giltharbor-07.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Bold poster. Reason to buy: Durability.*

The packshot card itself, so the hoops keep their 3 mm thickness. Shower and swim safe is the page's own claim, and the review is a customer's words.

Store facts used: 18k gold vermeil, water-resistant, $58, was $72, 4.9 from 1,042 reviews, Nadia H. quote, free shipping and returns.

Matched by the fact check: $58, $72, 4.9 rating, 1,042 reviews, 18k, free shipping, 1 review quote, word for word.

### Gilt Harbor: Read this before you buy another pair of hoops.

![Tan Gilt Harbor ad: 'Read this before you buy another pair of hoops.' with three checkmarks (shower and swim safe, hypoallergenic and nickel-free, 1-year warranty), a photo of gold huggie hoops on a navy card, $58 was $72, 4.9 from 1,042 reviews, and a 'Meet the huggies · $58' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/giltharbor-05.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Read this first. Reason to buy: Benefit.*

Three facts from the page (shower and swim safe, hypoallergenic and nickel-free, 1-year warranty) and the real sale price. No comfort claims nobody made.

Store facts used: Shower and swim safe, hypoallergenic, nickel-free, 1-year warranty, $58, was $72, 4.9 from 1,042 reviews, free shipping, free returns.

Matched by the fact check: $58, $72, 4.9 rating, 1,042 reviews, free shipping.

### The difference, side by side

|  | Image model prompt | Our engine |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Size and thickness | Guessed from words; thin, tiny or close depending on the run | The photographed piece, at the proportions it was shot |
| Card or box | Redrawn or swapped for a display block | The packaging in your photo |
| Benefits | Written by the model when asked ("unparalleled comfort") | Only claims on the product page, matched before delivery |
| Sale price | As you typed it | Read from the store, with the original price only when the store shows one |
| Sizes for Meta and Pinterest | One image at a time | Five sizes from one design |

## A jewelry prompt pack that starts from your product photo

Attach a sharp photo of your own piece to each prompt. Put real measurements and claims in the brackets, copied from your product page, and keep everything else out. If you're planning the campaign around them, our [guide to advertising jewelry](https://storetoads.com/how-to-advertise/jewelry/) covers channels and budgets.

### 1. The packaging hero

For a clean product ad on the card or box you ship in.

```
Use the attached photo of my [PIECE] on its [CARD / BOX] exactly as it is: same metal colour, thickness, size and printed text. Place it on [SURFACE] with a soft shadow and [ONE PROP]. Add only: headline "[HEADLINE FROM A FACT ON MY PAGE]", price "[PRICE]". Portrait 4:5, no sparkle effects added.
```

### 2. The on-body shot

To show scale on an ear, wrist or neck.

```
Show the attached [PIECE] worn by a person, close-up on the [EAR / WRIST / NECK], natural light, real skin texture. It measures [SIZE IN MM] and must look that size against the body. Wear exactly [HOW MANY] as I describe: [WHERE EACH ONE GOES]. Do not change shape, thickness or colour. No text.
```

### 3. The spec ad

When the details are the selling point.

```
Keep the attached photo unchanged in the centre. Add four short labels around it, each copied from my product page: "[SIZE]", "[WIDTH]", "[METAL]", "[CLOSURE]". Thin lines from each label to the piece. Price "[PRICE]" at the bottom. No other words.
```

### 4. The gift ad

Q4, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day.

```
Use the attached photos of the piece and its gift box without changing either. Show the box open with the piece inside on [SURFACE]. Add only "[GIFT LINE FROM MY PAGE, e.g. Arrives in a gift box]" and "[PRICE]". No sale badge.
```

### 5. The proportion check

Before you download.

```
Compare the piece in your image with my photo. Tell me if its thickness, diameter, colour, closure or number of pieces differs, and list every word in the image I didn't give you. Then make a corrected version that changes nothing else.
```

## Tips for each tool, for jewelry

### ChatGPT

- Attach the packshot. From words alone our run thinned the hoops; with the photo it kept them at 3 mm.
- Give the size in millimetres and say "must look this size". Models scale jewelry for drama otherwise.
- Add "no sparkle effects". Starbursts look cheap and hide the finish shoppers want to see.

### Gemini

- For on-body shots, say exactly how many pieces and where each goes. Our Nano Banana Pro run put both hoops in one ear.
- Close-ups of skin come out very real; check the metal colour against your photo, since warm light shifts gold toward copper.
- If you let it write the copy, cut every benefit you can't point to on your page.

### Midjourney-style tools

- "Macro" and "sparkling highlights" get you drama, not your piece. Use the render for mood boards or backgrounds.
- Text on packaging comes out larger and restyled. Keep your own card in your own photo.
- The --ar parameter only works in Midjourney itself; other tools return their default shape.

## Questions about jewelry ad prompts

**What are some good prompts for jewelry product photography?**

Ones that start from your real piece: attach the photo, give its size in millimetres, say the metal, thickness and closure can't change, then describe the surface and light. The five in the pack above cover packaging, on-body, spec, gift and a final proportion check.

**Can ChatGPT make a jewelry ad?**

Yes. Without a photo, GPT-5.4 Image 2 made a premium-looking ad with every word right and hoops much thinner than the real ones. With the packshot attached, GPT Image 2.5 kept the hoops and card exactly. The photo was the difference.

**Why does AI change the size of my earrings?**

An image model has no ruler. It draws what looks right for the words and the scene, so pieces get thinner, bigger or smaller for effect. A photo pins the proportions; a size in millimetres helps for on-body shots.

**Can AI put my earrings on a model?**

It can make a convincing on-ear shot from one packshot, as our Nano Banana Pro run did. It also ignored where to put them. Spell out how many pieces and where each goes, and check that the pair looks the way you sell it.

**What are some creative ideas for jewelry ads?**

Lead with something a buyer can verify: thickness up close, the piece worn in the shower if it's water-safe, the gift box, or a review about sensitive ears. Each idea needs a fact behind it, which is why invented benefits hurt.

**What is a catchy slogan for jewelry?**

Short and specific beats grand: "Shower. Swim. Repeat." says what the hoops can do, while "Elevate the everyday" could sit under any brand. Build the line from one fact on your product page.

**Is ChatGPT or Gemini better for jewelry ads?**

In our single runs with the photo, ChatGPT kept the hoops and card exactly, while Nano Banana Pro kept the metal but placed both hoops in one ear. Without a photo, both changed the piece. Test with your own item before choosing.

**How should I photograph jewelry for AI tools?**

One sharp shot on a plain background, lit from the side so the shape reads, with the piece at a slight angle so thickness shows. Include the card or box if you ship in it. The tools copy what they see, flaws included.

**How do I advertise jewelry?**

Show the piece up close and on the body, give its size and metal plainly, and use reviews for comfort and wear. Gifting moments carry a lot of jewelry sales. Our guide to advertising jewelry covers channels and a first budget.
