# Drink ad prompts, tested on one can

Source: https://storetoads.com/ad-prompts/drinks/

Splashes, ice and condensation are what image models do best, so drink ads look like an easy win. We ran five drink ad prompts for Sora, a fictional sparkling water with real yuzu, through the models behind ChatGPT and Gemini and a Midjourney-style keyword prompt. Every splash was convincing. Every can drawn from words was a different can, and one spelled the brand SSORA.

*Updated October 17, 2026. Every prompt ran once on October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand. Nothing was retried or cherry-picked.*

## What is a good AI prompt for a drink ad?

Attach a photo of your can or bottle, say its colours, pattern and every word on it must stay the same, then describe the splash or setting and give the headline and price in quotes. Without a photo, all three of our runs redesigned the can; with one, both kept it exactly.

## The five prompts, run for real

Sora · Sparkling Yuzu, 12-Pack · $29 (was $34) · 4.7 from 2,310 reviews · fictional

Sora's product page: Sparkling Yuzu, 12-Pack, $29 (was $34); sparkling water with real yuzu juice; zero sugar, zero sweeteners, 5 calories per can; 12 x 12 oz slim cans; free shipping on 2 packs or more; rated 4.7 from 2,310 reviews. A to C knew the can only from words. D and E had the can photo shown here attached.

![Sora's product photo: Sparkling Yuzu, 12-Pack, the packshot attached to prompts D and E.](https://storetoads.com/samples/sora.webp)

### Prompt A: The ChatGPT splash poster

*ChatGPT-style prompt, no photo.* Flavour, zero sugar, calories, "ice and yuzu fruit, splash" and a Shop now button: the drink brief most owners give ChatGPT.

> Create a refreshing Instagram ad for my drink brand SORA. Product: Sparkling Yuzu, sparkling water with real yuzu juice, zero sugar, zero sweeteners, 5 calories per can, 12-pack of slim 12 oz cans, $29 (was $34). Show a light blue slim can with ice and yuzu fruit, splash. Include the brand name, flavor, price and a "Shop now" button.

![AI output for the first prompt: a light blue slim can with a navy vertical Sora logo and a sun-and-cloud illustration in a splash with yuzu halves and ice, beside four icons for real yuzu juice, zero sugar, zero sweeteners and 5 calories, a 12-pack badge, $29 was $34 and a Shop now button.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/drinks/A.webp)

*Made with GPT-5.4 Image 2 (OpenAI, through the OpenRouter API), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- All the facts are there and spelled correctly: real yuzu juice, zero sugar, zero sweeteners, 5 calories per can, 12-pack slim cans, $29, was $34.
- The splash, ice and yuzu are photographic and the layout is clean.

**What went wrong**

- It's a new can design: navy SORA lettering, a sun and cloud illustration and a yellow YUZU. Sora's can has white SORA running up a light blue can covered in white waves.
- Shoppers looking for this can on a shelf, or in their delivery box, would be looking for the wrong one.

**Could you run it?** A strong ad for a can that doesn't exist. Everything except the product is right.

### Prompt B: The Gemini "summer in a can" prompt

*Gemini-style prompt, no photo.* Describing the can and asking for a headline and three benefits is the go-to Gemini request for beverage ads.

> Generate a beverage advertisement for Sora Sparkling Yuzu, a light blue slim can with SORA written vertically. Ice cubes, yuzu halves, bubbles and a big splash, summer sunlight. Write a catchy headline and three benefits, add "4.7 stars from 2,310 reviews" and "$29 for 12 cans". Bright, fun, premium.

![AI output for the second prompt: a light blue can with a vertical Sora logo, a yuzu sticker and the words Refreshingly Radiant printed on it, in a splash by a pool, under the headline Refreshingly radiant summer in a can, with three benefits, $29 for 12 cans and 4.7 stars from 2,310 reviews.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/drinks/B.webp)

*Made with Nano Banana 2 (Gemini 3.1 Flash Image) (Google, through the OpenRouter API), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 1

**What went right**

- Vertical white SORA on a light blue can is close to the real thing, because the prompt described it.
- Price per pack and the rating are exact.

**What went wrong**

- A benefit promises "no artificial flavors". The product page doesn't say that, and flavour claims are the kind a drinks brand has to be able to support.
- The can gained a yuzu sticker and the words "Refreshingly Radiant", printed on the product as if they were part of the label.
- "Refreshingly radiant summer in a can" says nothing a shopper can check.

**Could you run it?** Closer on the can than run A, looser on the facts. The added claim has to go before it runs.

### Prompt C: The Midjourney-style frozen splash

*Midjourney-style keyword prompt, no photo.* "Condensation droplets, frozen splash, pastel backdrop, 8k": the standard beverage photography keyword prompt.

> beverage product photography, slim light blue aluminum can, white wave pattern, vertical text "SORA" and "Sparkling Yuzu Zero Sugar", condensation droplets, ice cubes, sliced yuzu, frozen splash, bright studio light, pastel blue backdrop, commercial, photorealistic, 8k --ar 4:5 --style raw --v 7

![AI output for the third prompt: a wide light blue can with a white wave pattern reading SSORA vertically and Sparkling Yuzu Zero Sugar near the base, with condensation, ice cubes, yuzu halves and a frozen splash, and no ad text.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/drinks/C.webp)

*Made with FLUX.2 Pro (Black Forest Labs, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product changed · Text errors: 1 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- "Sparkling Yuzu Zero Sugar" is spelled right, and the condensation and splash look real.
- The wave pattern and colour are in the right family.

**What went wrong**

- The brand name reads SSORA: an extra S at the top of the vertical lettering.
- The can is a standard wide can, not the slim one the prompt and the product call for.
- No price or headline; a keyword prompt returns a product photo, not an ad.

**Could you run it?** One extra letter in the brand name is enough to make it unusable.

### Prompt D: ChatGPT with the can photo

*ChatGPT-style prompt with the product photo.* Attach the can and ask for a summer scene, the photo-editing route OpenAI's help pages describe.

> Here is my product photo. Turn it into a summer Instagram ad for my drink brand Sora. Put the can on a picnic blanket in the sun with ice and two yuzu halves. Keep the can and all its text exactly as they are. Add the headline "Real yuzu. Zero sugar.", "5 calories a can" and "$29 for 12 (was $34)".

![AI output for the fourth prompt: Sora's slim light blue can with its white vertical name, Sparkling Yuzu, Zero Sugar and 12 oz, Slim on a checked picnic blanket by the sea with ice and two yuzu halves, under the headline Real yuzu. Zero sugar., with 5 calories a can and $29 for 12 (was $34).](https://storetoads.com/prompts/drinks/D.webp)

*Made with GPT Image 2.5 (OpenAI, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product kept · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- It's Sora's can: slim, light blue, white waves, SORA up the side, "Sparkling Yuzu · Zero Sugar" and "12 oz / Slim" all intact.
- Headline, calorie line and price are word for word, and the picnic scene is bright and believable.

**What went wrong**

- Nothing to fault at feed size. It is a regenerated can, so compare the small text with your artwork if the image will be printed large.

**Could you run it?** Ready to run as long as the was-price is genuine, which only the brand can know.

### Prompt E: Gemini with the can photo, against the sky

*Gemini-style prompt with the product photo.* A hand holding the can up at the beach is the classic "put my product in a scene" edit for drinks.

> Use this exact can. Show a hand holding it up against a blue sky at the beach, with condensation on the can. Do not change the can's color, pattern or text. Add the text "Sora Sparkling Yuzu" at the top.

![AI output for the fifth prompt: a hand holding Sora's light blue can, beaded with condensation, against a blue sky over a beach, under the line Sora Sparkling Yuzu.](https://storetoads.com/prompts/drinks/E.webp)

*Made with Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image) (Google, through Higgsfield), October 17, 2026, for a fictional brand.*

Product kept · Text errors: 0 · Unasked details: 0

**What went right**

- Can colour, waves and all the lettering match the photo, with condensation added naturally.
- The hand is well drawn and the can is held at a realistic size.

**What went wrong**

- Nothing worth fixing at ad size; the line at the top is in a different typeface from the brand's, which only matters if you care about consistency.

**Could you run it?** A clean, summery Story frame. Good as it is.

## What the five cans show

Liquid, ice and light are no challenge for these models; all five runs nailed the refreshment. The can is the challenge. Drawn from words, it came back as three different designs, and the keyword run printed SSORA up the side.

Both runs that started from the photo kept the can perfectly, lettering included. For a drinks brand with one hero can, attaching the photo turns these tools from a liability into a quick way to make summer scenes.

What the tools can't settle is whether the facts are true. A was-price only counts if you really sold at it, and "no artificial flavors" only if your label says so. Lines built on facts like these are on our [drink ad ideas](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/drinks/) page; channels and sampling plans are in the [guide to advertising drinks](https://storetoads.com/how-to-advertise/drinks/).

## The same can, made by our engine

These were built from Sora's product page. The engine read the flavour, calories, pack size, price and reviews, placed the can photo as it is, and matched each fact against the page.

### Sora: Zero sugar. ALL YUZU.

![Yellow and blue Sora poster: 'Zero sugar. ALL YUZU.' in heavy navy type, a tilted pale blue can, a '5 cal per can' badge, 4.7 from 2,310 reviews and a 'Shop the 12-pack, $29' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/sora-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Bold poster. Reason to buy: Personality.*

Zero sugar, real yuzu, 5 calories, $29 down from $34: every claim is on the product page, and nothing like "no artificial flavors" was added. The can is the photo, so the name can't gain a letter.

Store facts used: Zero sugar, real yuzu, 5 calories per can, 4.7 from 2,310 reviews, $29 (was $34).

### Sora: Only ___ calories per can.

![Light blue Sora ad: 'Only ___ calories per can.' with a blank bar in the headline, answered by a yellow circled sticker reading 5 calories per can, next to a slim Sparkling Yuzu can, a 4.7 rating from 2,310 reviews and a 'Get the 12-pack · $29 (was $34)' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/sora-05.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Fill in the blank. Reason to buy: Benefit.*

The calorie count as a fill-in-the-blank, answered on the ad, with the 12 x 12 oz slim cans from the page. The slim can is the real one, not a wide can drawn from a description.

Store facts used: 5 calories per can, zero sugar, 12 × 12 oz cans, 4.7 from 2,310 reviews, $29, was $34.

Matched by the fact check: $29, $34, 4.7 rating, 2,310 reviews, 12 oz, 5 calories.

### Sora: I've swapped my afternoon soda for this.

![Navy Sora ad with the quote 'I've swapped my afternoon soda for this.' in large type, two short reviews, 4.7 from 2,310 reviews, the can on the right and a 'Try Sora Yuzu' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/sora-02.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Review card. Reason to buy: Social proof.*

A review quoted word for word about swapping an afternoon soda, plus the 4.7 rating from 2,310 reviews. The proof is the customers', which no image model can invent honestly.

Store facts used: Verbatim reviews, 4.7 from 2,310 reviews.

### The difference, side by side

|  | A prompt to an image model | Our engine |
| --- | --- | --- |
| The can | Redesigned from words, sometimes misspelled; redrawn from your photo | Your can photo, cut out and placed exactly |
| Claims | Adds flavour and health lines when it writes copy | Only claims the product page makes, checked before delivery |
| Was-prices | Printed as typed | Taken from the store's own compare-at price or offer text, then checked |
| Sizes | Each format is another generation to check | One design in 4:5, 1:1, 9:16, 2:3 and 1.91:1 |
| Summer to winter | New prompts for each season | New designs every Monday on weekly plans |

## A drink prompt pack that starts from your can or bottle photo

Attach a straight-on photo of your can or bottle with the name facing camera, then paste these into ChatGPT or Gemini. Copy facts from your product page and label exactly.

### 1. The splash ad

For the classic refreshment shot.

```
Keep the attached [CAN OR BOTTLE] exactly as photographed: shape, size, colours, pattern and every letter. Add condensation, ice and a splash of [DRINK COLOUR] liquid with [FLAVOUR INGREDIENT] around it. Add only: headline "[TWO FACTS FROM MY LABEL]", price "[PRICE FOR PACK]". No other text or badges.
```

### 2. The lifestyle ad

When you want the drink in a moment.

```
Use my attached can photo unchanged. Show it held by one natural hand at real size in [SETTING], name facing camera and readable. Keep the can's text exactly as in the photo. No added words.
```

### 3. The pack price ad

For multipacks and bundles.

```
Use the attached can photo without changing it and show [NUMBER] identical cans in a row on [BACKGROUND]. Add only: "[PACK SIZE] for [PRICE]" and "[SHIPPING OFFER, word for word]". Show a former price only if I give one here: [WAS PRICE OR NONE].
```

### 4. The label check

After every image.

```
Read every letter on the can in your image and compare it with my photo: list any letter added, missing or changed, and any change in shape, size or pattern. Then list every claim in the image I did not give you. Fix both and change nothing else.
```

## Tips for each tool, for drinks

### ChatGPT

- Attach the can and say "every letter stays the same". Our photo run kept the vertical name and the 12 oz / Slim line exactly.
- Give the calories, sugar and pack price in quotes; don't let the model choose its own benefits.
- If you show a was-price, make sure it's one you really charged; the FTC's pricing guide covers former price comparisons.

### Gemini

- Google's help page covers editing an uploaded image; our Nano Banana Pro run kept the can's lettering and pattern intact.
- Describe only the scene and hand, and ask for the name facing camera.
- When it writes benefits, look for claims such as "no artificial flavors" that your label doesn't make.

### Midjourney-style tools

- Vertical text on a curved can is a known failure point: our keyword run spelled the brand SSORA.
- Say slim or standard explicitly; the keyword run drew a wide can despite "slim" in the prompt.
- Midjourney flags like --ar only work in Midjourney, per its parameter list.

## Questions about drink ad prompts

**Can ChatGPT make an ad for my drink?**

Yes. From words it made a refreshing, accurate-sounding ad for a can design Sora doesn't use. With the can photo attached, it kept the can and all its lettering. Start from the photo.

**Why does AI misspell the name on my can?**

Image models draw letters as shapes, and vertical text on a curved can is hard for them. Our keyword prompt produced SSORA. Attaching the real can photo removed the problem in both of our photo runs.

**Can AI make a splash shot with my real can?**

Yes. Splashes, ice and condensation were convincing in all five runs, and the two that started from our can photo kept the can exactly. Ask for the name facing camera and check every letter.

**What are some good slogans for beverages?**

For a small drinks brand, the best lines are checkable: the flavour source ("Real yuzu"), a number ("5 calories a can"), or a customer's words. Our drink ad ideas page has more lines tied to facts.

**Can I add "no artificial flavors" to a drink ad?**

Only if it's true for your product and consistent with your label. One AI run added it on its own. Any claim in an ad has to be one you can support, whoever wrote it.

**Should my drink ad show the old price?**

Only if it's a price you actually charged for a reasonable time. The FTC's guides against deceptive pricing cover former price comparisons, and an image model will print whatever was-price you type.

**What are some effective ways to advertise my drinks?**

Lead with the reason to switch (taste, sugar, calories), show the real can, prove it with reviews and make the first order low-risk with a pack offer. Our guide to advertising drinks covers channels and a starting budget.

**Is Gemini or ChatGPT better for drink ads?**

With the photo, both kept our can perfectly in one run each. Without it, ChatGPT's model redesigned the can while getting every fact right, and Gemini's stayed closer to the can but added a claim. Try both with your own can.

**Do I need a studio photo of my can for AI tools?**

A clean, straight-on photo with the name readable is enough, and it matters more than the prompt. Every faithful result in our test started from that photo.
