# Valentine's Day ad ideas for product brands, with real examples

Source: https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/valentines-day/

Valentine's Day 2027 falls on a Sunday, so for a small shop the day that counts is Saturday, February 13: the last regular delivery day before it. Here are the dates to plan from, six offers that suit a gift for someone you love, lines you can adapt, and 15 ads our engine made for five fictional stores.

*Updated November 4, 2026. The sample ads are for fictional brands, made by our engine.*

## What makes a good Valentine's Day ad for a small brand?

It sells a gift for one person and removes the fear of getting it wrong. Show the real product large, give one reason they'll love it with proof such as a review, and print an exact order-by date for delivery by Saturday, February 13. Keep to one offer per ad, written with real numbers.

## Valentine's sample ads for five stores

Fictional sample brands, real engine output. Each store got a Valentine's brief with its own offer and order-by date, and the engine planned a different reason to buy for every ad. Two of each store's three ads are here; its own page has all three.

### Gilt Harbor: Gold she can shower in.

![Dark navy Gilt Harbor ad: 'Gold she can shower in.' in a large cream serif, 'Boxed with a handwritten love note.' below it, the gold huggie hoops on their navy gift box with two gold callouts (12 mm diameter; hypoallergenic, nickel-free), 4.9 stars from 1,042 reviews, and a footer line 'Everyday Huggie Hoops, $58 (was $72)' with 'Order by Sun, Feb 7, free shipping.'](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/giltharbor-vday-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Annotated hero. Reason to buy: Gift worry.*

The headline answers the practical doubt a gift buyer has about plated jewelry, and the callouts point at the two facts that settle it. The box is in the photo, so the gift is visible before anyone reads the word.

Store facts used: Shower and swim safe, 12 mm, hypoallergenic and nickel-free, $58 (was $72), 4.9 from 1,042 reviews, free shipping.

### Gilt Harbor: Arrives with a love note.

![Midnight-blue Gilt Harbor ad: 'Arrives with a love note.' in a cream serif, 'Handwritten note, recycled gift box. Returns until Mar 14.' beneath, the hoops on the navy gift box at the right, a framed close-up of the two hoops at the left with '12 mm · 3 mm wide' under it, and 'Order by Sun, Feb 7. Free shipping.' beside 'Shop Everyday Huggie Hoops, $58'.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/giltharbor-vday-02.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Detail spotlight. Reason to buy: Gift presentation.*

It sells what the recipient experiences when the parcel opens: the note and the box. The returns date sits in the second line, where a nervous buyer looks next, and the close-up inset gives the exact size.

Store facts used: Handwritten note and recycled gift box (from the brief), returns until Mar 14, 12 mm and 3 mm wide, $58, free shipping.

### Brindlewood: Four bars for two.

![Deep teal Brindlewood poster: 'FOUR BARS FOR TWO' in huge cream capitals, the opened bar with salt flakes and one broken square, a gold disc reading '4 for $30 (usually $36)', 'Mix flavors. Handwritten card included.' beside it, and a footer with '72% Dark with Sea Salt, $9' and 'Order by Feb 4 for US delivery by Feb 13.'](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/brindlewood-vday-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Bold poster. Reason to buy: Offer for two.*

The multi-buy is framed as sharing, which suits Valentine's without a single heart. The 'usually $36' is four bars at the everyday $9, so the saving is real, and the brand's own teal and gold stand out in a red February feed.

Store facts used: 4 bars for $30, usually $36, $9 a bar, 72% dark, 80 g, handwritten card (from the brief), order-by date.

### Brindlewood: Cherry. Toasted nuts. Caramel.

![Dark Brindlewood photo ad: 'Cherry. Toasted nuts. Caramel.' in a large cream serif over a deep brown background, 'Valentine's: any 4 bars for $30 (usually $36), with a handwritten card.' below, the opened bar on a walnut board with cherries, cacao nibs and an espresso cup, 'Shop 72% Dark with Sea Salt, $9' and 4.9 from 1,318 reviews along the bottom.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/brindlewood-vday-02.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Photo headline. Reason to buy: Taste.*

Three tasting notes as the headline do what a heart-shaped box can't: they tell you what this bar tastes like. The store's own photo carries the mood, and the offer is one plain line.

Store facts used: Tasting notes, 4 bars for $30, usually $36, $9, 4.9 from 1,318 reviews.

### Pip & Oak: A night in. Two scents.

![Dark Pip & Oak ad: 'A night in. Two scents.' in a cream serif, 'Any 2 candles for $56 (usually $64). Mix scents.' below, the amber Fig & Cedar jar with its wooden lid leaning beside it, unlit, 'Fig & Cedar · $32' at the top right, and 'Through Sun, Feb 14' with 'Order by Thu, Feb 4 for US delivery by Sat, Feb 13' along the bottom.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/pipandoak-vday-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Photo headline. Reason to buy: A night in.*

Five words sell the occasion and the offer together, and the jar is shown unlit and whole, which is what arrives. The end date and the order-by date are both on the image.

Store facts used: 2 candles for $56, usually $64, $32, order-by and end dates.

### Pip & Oak: Smells like a walk through a fig orchard.

![Cream Pip & Oak ad with 'For Valentine's' at the top right: the quote 'Smells like a walk through a fig orchard.' in a large italic serif, 'Fills the whole living room.' under it, five stars, 'Claire M., verified' and 4.9 from 938 reviews, the amber jar and lid, and a brown band reading 'Fig & Cedar Soy Candle, $32' and 'Any 2 for $56, usually $64'.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/pipandoak-vday-02.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Review card. Reason to buy: Social proof.*

A customer describes the smell better than the brand could, and the second line answers the next question: is it strong enough? The 'verified' label sits next to a review the store marks as verified.

Store facts used: A verbatim review (verified), 4.9 from 938 reviews, $32, 2 for $56, usually $64.

### Orsolune: A fig tree, in February.

![Warm Orsolune photo ad: 'A fig tree, in February.' in a light serif over the store's photo of the Fig Noir bottle on stone with halved figs, fig leaves and leaf shadows on the wall, 'Valentine's gift with purchase' in small gold capitals, 'Free 10 ml travel spray with every 50 ml bottle, through Feb 14.', and 'Fig Noir Eau de Parfum, 50 ml, $88' with 4.8 from 486 reviews.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/orsolune-vday-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Photo headline. Reason to buy: Scent.*

Five words put a summer scent into a winter month, which is the whole idea of the perfume, and the photo shows the same scene. The free travel spray is stated with its condition in one line.

Store facts used: Fig notes, 50 ml, $88, the free 10 ml travel spray (from the brief), 4.8 from 486 reviews.

### Orsolune: Elegant and unisex. My partner keeps stealing it.

![Cream Orsolune ad: the bottle and its white box at the top, then the quote 'Elegant and unisex. My partner keeps stealing it.' in a large italic serif, five gold stars with 'Chris L. · Verified · 4.8 from 486 reviews', 'Free travel spray with every 50 ml bottle, through Feb 14.' and 'Fig Noir Eau de Parfum, 50 ml, $88'.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/orsolune-vday-02.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Review photo. Reason to buy: Shared scent.*

A real review says what a Valentine's ad for perfume wants to say: the scent is shared. It does the romance in a customer's words, with no skin and no claims.

Store facts used: A verbatim review (verified), unisex, 4.8 from 486 reviews, 50 ml, $88, free travel spray.

### Bowfinch: Same night in. Different towns.

![Cream Bowfinch collage ad: 'Same night in. Different towns.' in a burgundy serif, two taped photos of the open burgundy gift box (one on a plain background, one on a knitted blanket with a hand lifting the mug), the word 'together' circled in red script, a card with the quote 'The handwritten note is such a nice touch.' from Grace F. with 4.9 and 892 reviews, a tag listing 'candle · tea · mug · socks · chocolate', and 'The Cozy Night In Gift Box, $68' with 'Free red ribbon if ordered by Sun, Feb 7'.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/bowfinch-vday-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Collage. Reason to buy: Long distance.*

It speaks to the couple who can't be together on the day, and the contents strip lists all five items, so the $68 can be judged. The review is about the note, the part of the gift the sender writes.

Store facts used: Five items listed, a verbatim review, 4.9 from 892 reviews, $68, the free red ribbon (from the brief).

### Bowfinch: My sister cried when she opened it.

![Bowfinch ad on the store's photo of the open burgundy box on a chunky knit blanket, a hand lifting the speckled mug: below it, five stars and the quote 'My sister cried when she opened it.' in a large burgundy serif, 'Rebecca N. · Verified · 4.9 · 892 reviews', a red ribbon banner with 'Free Valentine's red ribbon' and 'Order by Sun, Feb 7 · US delivery by Feb 13', and 'The Cozy Night In Gift Box, $68'.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/bowfinch-vday-02.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Review photo. Reason to buy: Reaction.*

The quote is the moment the buyer is paying for: someone opening the box. The ribbon banner turns the Valentine's offer into a shape that already means 'gift'.

Store facts used: A verbatim review (verified), 4.9 from 892 reviews, $68, the free red ribbon and order-by date (from the brief).

## The 2027 Valentine's Day ad calendar

Valentine's ads are short-lived: four weeks of gift ads, a hard stop at the shipping cutoff, then two days of last-minute buyers. Most of the mistakes are about dates, not design. Plan backwards from these:

| Date (2027) | What happens | What it means for your ads |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Mon, Jan 11 to Fri, Jan 15 | Valentine's ads made, checked and uploaded with start dates | Meta reviews most ads within 24 hours, and any change to an ad's creative starts a new review. Load the gift ads, the order-by ads and the after-cutoff ads in one go. |
| Mon, Jan 18 | Gift ads start, four weeks out | Early buyers compare. Give them the proof up front: a review, the materials, the price, and who the gift suits. |
| Wed, Feb 3 to Sun, Feb 7 | Our five sample stores' last order days for ground delivery by Sat, Feb 13 | Each store's date is the carrier's slow end minus its own packing time (table below). The order-by ads stop the morning after. |
| Mon, Feb 8 | Last day to send by USPS Ground Advantage if you plan for its slow end: 5 delivery days, Tue to Sat | After today a ground parcel may not make Saturday. Switch to faster paid shipping, local pickup or an e-gift card. |
| Wed, Feb 10 | Last day to send Priority Mail if you plan for 3 days | Worth one ad only if your checkout sells Priority Mail; put the shipping price in the ad. |
| Sat, Feb 13 | The last regular delivery day before Valentine's, and Galentine's Day for many | Friend-gift ads have their day. Physical delivery promises are over: e-gift cards and local pickup take over. |
| Sun, Feb 14 | Valentine's Day | Keep the e-gift card ad running. USPS offers Sunday delivery with Priority Mail Express in many major markets, for an extra fee. |
| Mon, Feb 15 | Presidents' Day (Washington's Birthday), a federal holiday | In 2026, UPS said its Ground Saver and Mail Innovations parcels needed one extra day in transit for the USPS holiday. Self-gift ads start. |
| Tue, Feb 16 to Sun, Feb 28 | After Valentine's | Ads for people buying for themselves, at everyday prices and without Valentine's words. |
*Holiday dates from OPM's 2027 federal holiday list. No carrier had published a 2027 Valentine's schedule when we checked: the send-by days are our count from USPS's own delivery times (Ground Advantage 2 to 5 days, Priority Mail 2 to 3 days, both expected, not guaranteed), counting Monday to Saturday deliveries. Check your carrier's page in January before you print a date. Checked November 4, 2026.*

## What the carriers published for Valentine's Day 2026

Unlike Christmas, we found no Valentine's send-by dates from USPS, UPS or FedEx. What they publish is which days they work and how long each service takes. Here is last year's, so you know what to look for when the 2027 pages appear:

| Carrier | Valentine's Day 2026 (Sat, Feb 14) | Presidents' Day 2026 (Mon, Feb 16) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| USPS | No Valentine's send-by dates that we could find. Its delivery times: Ground Advantage 2 to 5 days, Priority Mail 2 to 3 days, Priority Mail Express 1 to 3 days with a money-back guarantee | A federal holiday. Priority Mail Express offers Sunday and holiday delivery in many major markets for an extra fee |
| UPS | Pickup and delivery available; The UPS Store locations open | Pickup and delivery available, but Ground Saver and Mail Innovations parcels needed one more day in transit because of the USPS holiday |
| FedEx | Open | Modified service: early pickups and drop box pickups in some areas |
*From each carrier's own 2026 page or schedule, read November 4, 2026. None of the three had a 2027 schedule out then.*

Two things follow for 2027. With Valentine's on a Sunday, plan for Saturday delivery and treat Sunday as a bonus you'd have to pay for. And if you ship with a service that hands the last mile to USPS, Presidents' Day can add a day for parcels still in transit on Monday.

## Your order-by date for Saturday, February 13

The date in your ad is the carrier's slow end minus the days you need to pick, pack and hand over an order. Our five sample stores worked it out from USPS Ground Advantage's 5-day end (ship by Monday, Feb 8):

| Store | How fast it ships | Order-by date in its ads |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Gilt Harbor (jewelry) | Next business day | Sun, Feb 7 |
| Bowfinch (gift boxes) | Within 1 business day | Sun, Feb 7 |
| Brindlewood (chocolate) | 2 business days to pack | Thu, Feb 4 |
| Pip & Oak (candles) | 2 business days to wrap and pack | Thu, Feb 4 |
| Orsolune (perfume) | 3 business days, and perfume ships by ground only | Wed, Feb 3 |
*Fictional stores. Bowfinch's 1-day shipping is on its product page; the other packing times are assumptions written into their Valentine's briefs.*

Using the slow end costs you a few days of sales and buys you a promise you can keep. If most of your orders go to nearby states, your own tracking data may let you set a later date: check last year's delivery times before you do.

## Six Valentine's offers and the products they suit

A Valentine's buyer is choosing for someone whose taste they're guessing. The offers that work make the guess safer or the gift more personal, more often than they cut the price.

| Offer | Suits | The ad must show | Watch out |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| An order-by date for Saturday delivery | Anything you ship | "Order by Sun, Feb 7 for US delivery by Sat, Feb 13" | Count from the carrier's slow end, and switch the ad off the next morning |
| A price for two | Candles, chocolate, socks: things people buy a pair of | The total ("2 for $56") and your everyday price | "Usually" must be the price you really charge |
| A free gift with purchase | Perfume, skincare: things people want to try first | What the gift is and what it sells for on its own | The item they buy stays at its regular price, and the conditions sit next to the offer |
| Sent to them, with your note | Gift boxes, long-distance couples | That it ships to the recipient and what they'll find inside | Check that checkout really takes a second address and a message |
| Returns past Feb 14 | Jewelry, clothing, anything chosen for someone else | The order dates it covers and the return-by date | "Free returns" alone doesn't say whether March counts |
| An e-gift card on Feb 13 and 14 | Every store | That it arrives by email, today | Never imply a physical delivery after your cutoff |
*Our five sample stores use the first five: Gilt Harbor returns until March 14, Pip & Oak 2 candles for $56, Brindlewood 4 bars for $30, Orsolune a free travel spray, Bowfinch a red ribbon and your note, sent to them.*

> Honest note: in the US a "usually" price has to be one you really charged for a reasonably substantial period (FTC Guides Against Deceptive Pricing, 16 CFR 233.1), and a "free" item means the thing they buy is at its regular price, with the conditions stated next to the offer, not behind an asterisk (FTC guide on the word "free", 16 CFR 251.1).

## Partner, friends or yourself: three Valentine's buyers

One Valentine's ad rarely fits all three people who buy in February. Each needs its own line and its own proof:

| Buyer | What they worry about | What the ad should say |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Buying for a partner | Choosing wrong, and the gift arriving late | Who it suits, one detail they'll notice, the order-by date and the return-by date |
| Buying for friends (Galentine's, Sat, Feb 13) | Spending a lot on several people | A price per gift or a price for two, and a lighter, funnier tone |
| Buying for themselves | Nothing much: they just need a reason | The everyday price and the product's best detail, with no Valentine's words at all |

The self-gift ad is the easiest to forget and the one that can keep running after February 14. Schedule it to start on Monday, February 15, when the gift ads stop.

## Valentine's copy lines you can adapt

Replace the brackets with your own facts. Lines with a date, a number or a real detail stand out in a February feed full of hearts.

- **Order by [Sun, Feb 7] for delivery by Sat, Feb 13.**
- **Not sure it's her style? Returns until [Mar 14].**
- **Two scents, one night in. [2 for $56].**
- **Free [10 ml travel spray] with every [50 ml] bottle.**
- **Sent to them, with your note. No prices inside.**
- **[4 bars], [$30]. Share them, or don't.**
- **Missed the post? An e-gift card arrives today.**

Skip "almost gone", countdown timers and "last chance" unless your stock or your calendar backs them. An order-by date does the same job and stays true.

## Meta review, edits and keeping it tasteful

1. Upload every Valentine's ad in mid-January, each with its start and end date: gift ads, order-by ads, the after-cutoff ad and the self-gift ad. Meta says most ads are reviewed within 24 hours, though some take longer.
2. Don't edit live ads to change the date. A change to an ad's creative, text or link starts a new review; changes to budget or schedule don't. Swap ads by schedule.
3. Keep ad sets steady in February. Meta's learning phase ends after about 50 results in the week after an ad set's last significant edit, and adding a new ad counts as one.
4. Romantic is fine; explicit isn't. Meta's Advertising Standards don't allow ads with imagery of adult nudity or sexual activity, and a feed ad doesn't need it: the product, a detail and the right words carry the mood.

Design at 4:5 (1440 x 1800) for feeds and 9:16 (1440 x 2560) for Stories and Reels, with the order-by date clear of the top and bottom of the story frame. More: [Meta ad sizes](https://storetoads.com/sizes/meta-ad-sizes/).

## Valentine's ideas by product

Each product has its own Valentine's problem: jewelry has to suit, chocolate has to stand out from the red boxes, a candle photo has to be safe, perfume can't be smelled first and can't fly, and a gift box goes to someone the buyer won't see open it. These pages work through each one with three sample ads:

- [Valentine's Day jewelry ads](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/valentines-day/jewelry/): Gilt Harbor, a gift box, a note and returns until March 14.
- [Valentine's Day chocolate ads](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/valentines-day/chocolate/): Brindlewood, any 4 bars for $30.
- [Valentine's Day candle ads](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/valentines-day/candles/): Pip & Oak, 2 candles for $56.
- [Valentine's Day perfume ads](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/valentines-day/perfume/): Orsolune, a free travel spray with every bottle.
- [Valentine's Day gift ads](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/valentines-day/gifts/): Bowfinch, a box sent straight to them with your note.

## Making Valentine's ads with StoreToAds

In Your brief, set the goal to "seasonal", the occasion to "Valentine's Day", and type the offer exactly as it runs, order-by date included. Every ad in the batch carries it, and the fact check accepts it because you stated it. Prices, ratings and review quotes still come from your store and are checked as always. Put words you never want, like "guaranteed delivery", in Never say.

Each ad comes in all five sizes, and ads can go to Meta as paused ads, so nothing spends until you publish. [See pricing](https://storetoads.com/pricing/), or read how we build [holiday ads](https://storetoads.com/ad-angles/holiday-ad-generator/) the rest of the year.

## What people ask about Valentine's Day ads

**What are some catchy slogans for Valentine's Day?**

The ones a shopper can act on: "Order by Sun, Feb 7 for delivery by Sat, Feb 13", "Not sure it's her style? Returns until Mar 14", "Sent to them, with your note". A line with a date or a real detail beats "Love is in the air", which every other ad in February says too.

**What are some creative Valentine's Day sale ideas?**

A price for two instead of a discount (2 candles for $56), a free gift that lets someone try a new product (a travel-size perfume), a returns window that runs into March, and a Galentine's offer for friends. Each gives a reason to buy without training customers to wait for a sale.

**What are some unique Valentine's Day ideas for a small business?**

Ads for the buyers big brands forget: friends on Galentine's Day (Saturday, February 13), people buying for themselves after the 14th, and couples living apart, with a gift shipped straight to the other person and a handwritten note.

**What are some good advertising ideas for Valentine's Day?**

Lead with the real product and one detail the recipient will notice, add proof such as a review from someone who gave it, and print an exact order-by date. Make three to six ads that each lead with a different reason, and schedule an e-gift card ad for after your cutoff.

**When should I start Valentine's Day ads?**

Upload them in the week of January 11, 2027 with start dates, and start the gift ads around Monday, January 18, four weeks before the day. The order-by ads stop at your cutoff, around February 3 to 7 for ground shipping.

**When is the last day to ship for Valentine's Day 2027?**

We found no published Valentine's cutoffs from USPS, UPS or FedEx. Valentine's Day is Sunday, February 14, 2027, so aim for Saturday delivery: at USPS Ground Advantage's slow end of 5 days, that means sending by Monday, February 8; Priority Mail at 3 days, by Wednesday, February 10. Check your carrier's page in January.

**Is Valentine's Day 2027 on a weekend?**

Yes, Valentine's Day 2027 is a Sunday. Galentine's Day falls on Saturday, February 13, and Presidents' Day, a federal holiday, is the Monday after, February 15. For ads, Saturday the 13th is the delivery day to plan for.

**Can AI make Valentine's Day ads?**

Yes. StoreToAds makes them from your store with a Valentine's brief, keeping your real product photo exactly as it is, never redrawn, and checking every price and quote. The 15 ads on this page were made that way for fictional stores.
