# Snack ad ideas that sell the crunch and the label

Source: https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/snacks/

A snack gets bought for pleasure and reordered for reasons: it tastes good, the label is short, the numbers are better than chips, it fits the desk drawer. A snack ad has to show the first and prove the rest, without using nutrition words the label doesn't qualify for. Below are eight ads our engine made for Saltpeak, a fictional roasted chickpea brand, with the store facts each one uses.

*Updated October 17, 2026. The sample ads are for a fictional brand, made by our engine.*

## What makes a good snack ad?

A good snack ad shows the texture up close, then gives one reason to pick this bag over chips: a short ingredient list, protein and fiber per serving, a review about where people eat it. Print numbers with their serving size, show the price, and skip words like healthy or high protein unless the label qualifies.

## Eight snack ads for Saltpeak

Saltpeak is a fictional brand. Its product page: Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas in Sea Salt, oven-roasted with olive oil and sea salt, 6 g of plant protein and 5 g of fiber per 1 oz serving, 130 calories, three ingredients (chickpeas, olive oil, sea salt), gluten-free and vegan, made in a nut-free facility, six 5 oz resealable bags. $24 for the six-pack, rated 4.7 from 4,189 reviews, free shipping on orders over $40. Every ad uses only those facts and four customer reviews.

### Saltpeak: MYTH: Chickpeas can't crunch like chips.

![Red Saltpeak ad: 'MYTH: Chickpeas can't crunch like chips.' struck through with black bars, then 'FACT: Oven-roasted with olive oil and sea salt, they crunch like a chip.' A Sea Salt chickpea bag, a review quote and a '$24' button are shown.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-01.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Myth vs fact. Reason to buy: Benefit.*

The first fear about a better-for-you snack is that it won't taste like the one it replaces. The myth says that fear out loud, and the fact answers with the method (oven-roasted, olive oil, sea salt) instead of an adjective.

Store facts used: Oven-roasted with olive oil and sea salt, 6g protein, 5 oz bag, 4.7 from 4,189 reviews, Tyler B. quote, 6-pack $24.

Matched by the fact check: $24, 4.7 rating, 4,189 reviews, 1 review quote, word for word.

### Saltpeak: What's actually inside a Saltpeak bag?

![Dark navy Saltpeak ad: 'What's actually inside a Saltpeak bag?' with a checklist of Chickpeas, Olive oil, Sea salt, Gluten-free and Vegan tags, a five-star quote from Megan F., a red and cream bag, and a 'Get the 6-pack · $24' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-03.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Question hook. Reason to buy: Ingredients.*

Three ingredients is the whole argument, so the ad prints all three. Gluten-free and vegan sit as small tags because the label says them: supporting facts, not headlines.

Store facts used: Three ingredients, gluten-free, vegan, 6g protein, quote from Megan F., 6-pack $24.

Matched by the fact check: $24, gluten-free, vegan, 1 review quote, word for word.

### Saltpeak: Crunch with ___ g of plant protein.

![Mustard yellow Saltpeak ad: 'Crunch with ___ g of plant protein.' with striped bars filling the blank, answered by a round red sticker reading 6g plant protein, plus a red Sea Salt chickpea bag, 4.7 from 4,189 reviews and a 'Get the 6-pack · $24' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-06.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Fill in the blank. Reason to buy: Benefit.*

Protein is why many people reach for chickpeas over chips, so the blank makes them hunt for the number. The dark tag under the sticker (5 g fiber, 130 calories per 1 oz serving) says which serving the 6 g belongs to.

Store facts used: 6g plant protein, 5 g fiber, 130 calories per 1 oz serving, 4.7 from 4,189 reviews, 6-pack $24.

Matched by the fact check: $24, 4.7 rating, 4,189 reviews, 6g, 5 g, 130 calories, 1 oz.

### Saltpeak: Your desk drawer won't stay full.

![Warm brown wood desk photo, Saltpeak ad: 'Your desk drawer won't stay full.' with 'Full.' in yellow script. A red and cream Saltpeak chickpea bag sits by a bowl of chickpeas, with 4.7 stars from 4,189 reviews, a quote and a '$24' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-04.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Lifestyle type. Reason to buy: Ritual.*

The headline is a small joke anyone with a snack drawer gets right away. The desk scene shows where the snack lives, and the kid-steals-snacks quote proves the joke. The yellow button stands out against the dark photo.

Store facts used: Six resealable bags, 6g protein, 5 oz bag, $24, 4.7 rating from 4,189 reviews, quote from Andre L..

Matched by the fact check: $24, 4.7 rating, 4,189 reviews, 1 review quote, word for word.

### Saltpeak: "Perfect for my hiking bag. The bags reseal really well."

![Dark charcoal Saltpeak ad: '"Perfect for my hiking bag. The bags reseal really well."' from Sara N., with two shorter quotes, 4.7 from 4,189 reviews, a red Sea Salt chickpea bag, and a 'Pack the 6-pack · $24' button.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-07.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Review card. Reason to buy: Social proof.*

Tyler B.'s review is trimmed on the ad, and the ellipsis shows where. That's the right way to shorten a quote: cut it visibly, never rewrite it.

Store facts used: Quote from Sara N., quotes from Tyler B. and Megan F., 4.7 from 4,189 reviews, six 5 oz bags, $24, 6g protein.

Matched by the fact check: $24, 4.7 rating, 4,189 reviews, 5 oz, 3 review quotes, word for word.

### Saltpeak: ok where did you get those chickpeas

![Light gray iMessage-style Saltpeak ad: 'ok where did you get those chickpeas' from a friend, answered 'Saltpeak. they crunch like actual chips' with a product photo card of a red bag and bowl of chickpeas, Six-pack $24, then a reply 'ordering the 6-pack rn'.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-05.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Text thread. Reason to buy: Word of mouth.*

The friend in the thread asks what a stranger would (where's it from, what's in it) and gets store facts back. No invented customer claims a result, which keeps a chat-style ad honest.

Store facts used: Saltpeak Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas Sea Salt, Six-pack $24, 6g protein, ingredients: chickpeas, olive oil, sea salt.

Matched by the fact check: $24.

[The 2:3 Pinterest version](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-05-2x3.webp)

### Saltpeak: 4.7 stars of crunch.

![Cream Saltpeak ad: '4.7 stars of crunch.' with a huge 4.7 and a red 'Out of 5' circle, five red stars, 4,189 reviews, six 5 oz bags for $24, a quote from Megan F. and a 'Grab the 6-pack' button beside the red Saltpeak chickpea bag.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-02.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Big number. Reason to buy: Social proof.*

The 4.7 fills the top third, so the rating is the first thing you read. The review count and a short quote about a readable label back it up, and the bag, price and button sit close together below.

Store facts used: 4.7 rating, 4,189 reviews, six 5 oz bags, $24, Megan F. quote about three ingredients.

Matched by the fact check: $24, 4.7 rating, 4,189 reviews, 5 oz, 1 review quote, word for word.

### Saltpeak: Anatomy of a crunch.

![Cream Saltpeak ad: 'Anatomy of a crunch.' above a red Saltpeak chickpea bag with four labeled callouts: six 5 oz bags, 3 ingredients, gluten-free, 6 g protein. A 4.7 star badge, a '$24' button and a free shipping line are also shown.](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-08.webp)

*Fictional sample brand, made by our engine. Format: Annotated hero. Reason to buy: Benefit.*

Thin callout lines point from each fact to the part of the bag it comes from, so the pack reads like a diagram. The headline sets up the format, and the button with price and shipping threshold sits right below.

Store facts used: Six 5 oz bags, 3 ingredients, gluten-free, vegan, 6 g protein, 5 g fiber per 1 oz, 4.7 from 4,189 reviews, $24, free shipping over $40.

Matched by the fact check: $24, $40, 4.7 rating, 4,189 reviews, 5 oz, 6 g, 5 g, 1 oz.

### The same ad in all five sizes

- [4:5](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-01.webp)
- [1:1](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-01-1x1.webp)
- [9:16](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-01-9x16.webp)
- [2:3](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-01-2x3.webp)
- [1.91:1](https://storetoads.com/samples/ads/saltpeak-01-1_91x1.webp)

The myth ad in all five sizes. Snacks are sold in fast-scrolling places, so the 9:16 story and the 1:1 earn their keep; in the tall crop the engine keeps the crossed-out myth and the answer above the bag so both read before the thumb moves.

## Four reasons someone switches snacks

Nobody needs a new snack. People switch when one of these four things is proven, and each one needs a different fact from your store.

### 1. It crunches like what it replaces

Snacks are bought for pleasure first. If the texture disappoints, a protein number won't bring anyone back for a second bag.

**Proof the ad needs:** The method from your page (oven-roasted with olive oil and sea salt) and a review about the crunch, like Tyler B.'s.

### 2. A label they can read

Many snack shoppers turn the bag over before they buy. A list they can read in one breath is a reason in itself.

**Proof the ad needs:** The full ingredient list (chickpeas, olive oil, sea salt) and dietary facts exactly as the label states them, plus Megan F.'s "I can actually read the label."

### 3. Better numbers per serving

People comparing snacks look at protein, fiber and calories, and they compare per serving.

**Proof the ad needs:** Numbers from the Nutrition Facts panel (6 g protein, 5 g fiber, 130 calories per 1 oz) with the serving size beside them, and no claim word the numbers don't qualify for (table below).

### 4. It fits a place in their day

Snacks get bought for a spot: the desk drawer, the hiking bag, the lunchbox. Once the spot is filled, the reorder follows.

**Proof the ad needs:** Pack details that matter there (six 5 oz resealable bags) and reviews that name the place: Andre L.'s desk drawer, Sara N.'s hiking bag.

## Photo checklist for snack ads

Snack photos have to show texture at thumb size and keep the bag readable. Seven shots give every ad on this page what it needs.

- **The bag straight on, front panel sharp.** The cutout for callout and number layouts. The protein badge and flavor name must be readable in a 1:1 feed crop.
- **A bowl of the snack beside the open bag.** Shows what's inside: size, color and the seasoning on the surface. Fill the bowl generously; a sparse bowl looks stingy.
- **One piece broken in half, macro.** Texture is the buying reason. A cracked chickpea shows it's crisp all the way through.
- **The back panel, flat and readable.** A short ingredient list and the Nutrition Facts are selling points. Shoot them square so an ad can quote them.
- **The snack in its place: desk drawer, hiking bag, lunchbox.** Matches the reviews that name a place and gives each audience its own picture.
- **The six bags lined up.** Quantity for the price. Six bags in a row read as a stock-up, not a single treat.
- **A hand reaching into the bag.** Movement and scale in one frame, and it shows a 5 oz bag is snack-sized.

## Snack ad copy lines you can adapt

Snappy lines, one pun at most. Every number needs its serving size, and every claim word has to pass the table below.

- **Crunches like a chip. Three ingredients.** Texture plus the label, in six words.
- **6 g protein. 5 g fiber. 130 calories. Per 1 oz.** Amount statements with the serving size, straight from the panel.
- **Chickpeas. Olive oil. Sea salt. That's the list.**
- **About 80 cents a serving.** $24 for six 5 oz bags is 30 one-ounce servings. Keep the math on your landing page too.
- **A good source of fiber.** Only because 5 g is 18% of the Daily Value. Recheck for every flavor.
- **"My kids steal these out of my desk drawer."** Andre L., word for word.
- **Resealable bags for the trail and the desk.** Sara N.'s review backs the resealing.
- **Stock the drawer. Six bags, $24.**
- **Can't pick a flavor? Get the variety 12-pack.** $45 for 12. Compare it with $48 only because two six-packs really cost $48.

### Lines to keep out of snack ads

| Avoid | Why | Say instead |
| --- | --- | --- |
| "The healthy snack" | "Healthy" is a claim FDA defines, with food-group minimums and limits on sodium, added sugars and saturated fat. A salted snack can miss the sodium limit. | The numbers: 6 g protein, 5 g fiber, 130 calories per serving. |
| "High protein" | "High" means 20% or more of the Daily Value per serving, counted after a protein quality correction. 6 g of chickpea protein doesn't get there. | "6 g plant protein per serving." |
| "Guilt-free" | It talks to the viewer about their eating and implies a nutrition benefit without saying which one. | "130 calories per 1 oz serving." |
| "Keeps you full for hours" | A promise about appetite that needs evidence. One customer saying it keeps him full is his experience, not proof for everyone. | "Crunches like a chip, with 6 g of protein." |
| "Allergen-free" | Made in a nut-free facility covers peanuts and tree nuts, not the other major allergens, and FDA expects allergen statements to be truthful and not misleading. | The label's exact words: "Made in a nut-free facility." |

## What your Nutrition Facts panel lets an ad say

Numbers on a snack ad come in two kinds. An amount (6 g protein) says what's in the bag. A claim word (good source, high, low, healthy) characterizes it, and FDA sets a threshold for each one. Here is Saltpeak's panel run through those thresholds.

| On the panel, per 1 oz | Say it plainly | The claim word, and does it qualify? |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 6 g protein | 6 g of plant protein per serving | "Good source of protein" needs 10% of the 50 g Daily Value after the protein quality (PDCAAS) correction, which chickpea protein may not reach. Any protein claim also puts the corrected %DV on the label. |
| 5 g fiber | 5 g of fiber per serving | "Good source of fiber": yes, 5 g is 18% of the 28 g Daily Value. "High fiber" needs 20%, about 5.6 g. A snack that isn't low in fat must state total fat with a fiber claim. |
| 130 calories | 130 calories per 1 oz serving | "Low calorie" needs 40 calories or less per serving: no. |
| 3 ingredients | Chickpeas, olive oil, sea salt | A plain fact. Print the list rather than a vague word like "clean". |
| Gluten-free | Gluten-free | FDA's rule: less than 20 ppm gluten. Yes, if your testing shows it. |
| Healthy | (no plain version) | FDA's updated claim needs a 1 oz equivalent of beans, peas or lentils and no more than 230 mg sodium, 1 g added sugar and 1 g saturated fat per serving. Check the sodium before you use the word. |
*Thresholds from 21 CFR 101.9, 101.54 and 101.60 and FDA's healthy and gluten-free pages (sources below). Have whoever makes your label confirm the reference amount for your product.*

When in doubt, print the amount and drop the adjective. A shopper who sees 6 g protein, 5 g fiber and 130 calories can decide for themselves whether that's a good snack.

## Snack claims: nutrition words, allergens and reviews

Snacks aren't restricted on Meta or Google. The rules that matter come from food labeling: an ad that uses nutrition words more loosely than your label could is asking for trouble.

- **Nutrient words.** FDA sets thresholds for good source (10 to 19% of the Daily Value per serving), high (20% or more) and low calorie (40 calories or less per serving). A protein claim also requires the corrected percent Daily Value on the label. Plain amounts, like 6 g protein, are the safer way to use numbers.
- **Healthy.** FDA updated its healthy claim in a final rule announced December 19, 2024: a minimum amount from a food group plus limits on added sugars, sodium and saturated fat. For a bean or chickpea snack that means a 1 oz equivalent and no more than 230 mg sodium per serving, among the other limits.
- **Gluten and allergens.** Gluten-free means less than 20 ppm under FDA's rule. FDA recognizes nine major food allergens (sesame since January 1, 2023) and says statements such as "produced in a facility that also uses" must be truthful and not misleading. A nut-free facility claim deserves the same care: it has to be true of the whole facility.
- **Reviews and prices.** Quote reviews word for word with first names (the FTC's rule on consumer reviews prohibits invented or doctored ones), and show cuts with an ellipsis. A pack's compare-at price has to be a real price, such as two six-packs at $24 each.

## The snack calendar: game days, trails and lunchboxes

Snacks follow where people eat them. Plan each moment about three weeks ahead, and keep a reorder ad running all year.

| When | Where people snack | What to run |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Now to early February | Football weekends | Game-day bowls on the coffee table, the six-pack as the party stock-up. |
| Nov 27 to 30, 2026 | Black Friday to Cyber Monday | The variety 12-pack at $45 against two six-packs at $48. [Black Friday ad ideas](https://storetoads.com/ad-ideas/black-friday/) has the timing. |
| Dec 1 to 17, 2026 | Stockings and office gifts | The 20-pack of snack-size bags for desks and stockings, with your order-by date (USPS recommends Ground Advantage by Dec 17). |
| January 2027 | New routines | The numbers ad: protein, fiber and calories per serving, with no diet talk or promises about weight. |
| March to May 2027 | Trail season | Hiking-bag ads with Sara N.'s resealable-bag review. |
| June to August 2027 | Road trips and summer days | Snack-size bags in a car door or a cooler bag. |
| August and September 2027 | Back to school, back to the office | Lunchbox and desk-drawer ads. Parents do the buying, so talk to the parent. |
| About a month after each order | The reorder | Thirty servings in a six-pack run out in about a month for a daily snacker: send the reorder ad then. |

## What people ask about snack ads

**What are some good advertisements for snacks?**

The ones that show the texture and give one checkable reason to choose them: a myth about crunch answered, a three-ingredient list, a protein number with its serving size, a review that names where people eat it. Famous TV snack ads run on huge budgets; a small brand's static ad runs on facts.

**What are good snack ad ideas for a small brand?**

A myth-versus-fact on texture, an ingredient list as the headline, a fill-in-the-blank on the protein number, a lifestyle shot in the place people eat it, a review card and a chat-style ad. All of them are sample ads on this page.

**How do I advertise snacks on Facebook and Instagram?**

Make four or five ads that each lead with a different reason (crunch, label, numbers, a place, a review), show the real bag in every one and print the price. Use the 9:16 size for stories, judge on purchases, and send a reorder ad to buyers about a month later.

**How do you advertise healthy snacks?**

Show the numbers instead of the word. "Healthy" is a claim FDA defines, with food-group minimums and sodium, sugar and saturated fat limits, so most brands do better printing protein, fiber and calories per serving and letting shoppers judge.

**Can I say my snack is a good source of protein?**

Only if one serving gives at least 10% of the 50 g Daily Value after the protein quality correction FDA requires, and then the label must show that corrected percentage. Plant proteins often score lower on that correction, so check before you print it.

**Can a snack ad say high fiber?**

Only at 20% of the Daily Value or more per serving, about 5.6 g. At 5 g, Saltpeak can say good source of fiber, and if the snack isn't low in fat, the label has to state total fat alongside the claim.

**Should snack ads show the price?**

Yes, and per serving when it helps: $24 for six bags sounds like more than about 80 cents a serving, though they're the same deal. Snacks are an easy decision, and a visible price makes it easier.

**What photos work best for snack ads?**

A macro of the texture, the bag straight on with a full bowl beside it, the back panel shot flat, and the snack in its place: a desk drawer, a hiking bag, a lunchbox. Daylight keeps the seasoning looking like food.

**What are some catchy snack slogans?**

Short ones that carry a fact: "Crunches like a chip. Three ingredients.", "Chickpeas. Olive oil. Sea salt. That's the list.", "Stock the drawer." One pun is plenty; the label should do the rest of the talking.

**Is a text-message style ad allowed for snacks?**

Yes, as long as it doesn't pass off an invented person's experience as a real review. Keep the chat to questions and store facts, as Saltpeak's thread does, and quote real reviews only with the reviewer's name.
